It might make more sense for the dnews to just link directly to Millers blog and eliminate the middle man ( facer) all together.
Did anyone notice that it's still the 'PAC-10' blog and not PAC-12?
Talk about the red carpet treatment and welcome wagon. Welcome Utah and CU... I guess?
Over 15,000 show up for CU scrimmage. Wonder how many show up today for the Utes?
So, together, Colorado and the Utes make 1 total team, correct?
sammyg,
Did anyone notice that spring practice came and went and ESPN was no were near their tds "partner"........."Talk about the red carpet treatment and welcome wagon"
sammyg:
Did you also notice the BigTen didn't change their name to the BigTwelve with the addition of Nebraska? Did you notice the BigTen only made a slight modification to their logo when they added their 11th team in Penn State? It has to do with "branding"; not "snubbing".
Besides, as of today, Utah and Colorado are still officially members of the MWC and the Big 12. The Utes and Buffalos don't become official members of the Pac until July 1st. Nevertheless, despite their current conference affiliations, ESPNs Pac-10 blogger still writes daily tributes to both of our programs. That's respect.
And I noticed you don't have any of that. Your ESPN blogger lumps you in with all the other mid-majors. But I guess that only makes sense; what with you being an honorary WAC team now.
Time to face up. Utah has been in the drivers seat of this rivalry since last summer.
Hey Facer....I know it tough to find a interesting story up on the rice bowl hill.....but a weather report? C'MON!!
Naval:
Nice to see you and you logic back.
Did YOU notice that the PAC is looking for a TV contract?
Is that "respect", or desperation?
Did you notice the PAC-12 logo as they went to sew on the Ute's field?
Naval, maybe we could look for a nice summer day for the "spring scrimmage" for the Utes?
Better yet, why not on the Dallas Coyboys field?

Why can't we talk sports without the arrogance?
Veritas Aequitas it seems that arrogancefrom you and other Y fans is okay based on many Y fans comments on Utah threads, but heaven forbid a Utah fan be arrogant. Really what was arrogant about Navel Vets post? He, like most Utah fans are sick of Y fans trolling their teams articles and leaving derisive posts (the proof is in many of the posts above and most every other UofU thread). In regards to ESPN, the knock from U fans seem justified after all we heard from Y fans about ESPN and BYU being partners etc. etc. yet there is scant ESPN coverage of Y this football preseason while there is has been a fair amount for Utah. I wish the Y well for the most part; I just have a hard time with Y fan jealousy which has hit a new high since June 2010 which leads to TDS fans making borderline nonsensical fact challenged comments about the UofU.
@pebbles
As with all of your posts....LOL!
Rock Of The Marne
You are so right. Ute fans are always very polite and respectful of BYU. They are just plain classy. The classiest would be Dave S. and his brother Howard S.. The most articulate one (and the best speller) is hands down Hedgehog.
Plus, Ute fans calling out BYU fans for trolling is in no way hypocritical or laughable. When I read the comment boards for BYU, I am always amazed at the complete maturity and brotherly love I find there from the Utes. And, above all, they are NEVER arrogant. They are truly a credit to the state of Utah.
Rock,
As a fellow Ute, I appreciate your frustration but please reread your post and see where you might have been arrogant too. While we cannot control what they may post, we can always control how we choose to respond. I would hope that we can represent our University in such a way as to not embarrass anyone else representing our University.
Go Utes!
Veritas,
You imply that proof of the Pac 12's desperation is that they are looking for a new TV contract. Does that mean that BYU was desperate when they went looking for, an got, a TV deal with ESPN?
Now if we could only get Donny Osmond to show up at practice....

I followed the link to ESPN weighing in on PAC 12 football and this is the scintillating news about Utah:
"The Utes were scheduled to scrimmage Saturday but it was called up due to bad weather and was rescheduled for Monday."
Impressive.
Frankly, I couldn't care less about pre-season "coverage". Even the pre-season polls are meaningless. The only meaningful coverage begins after the first kickoff. Until then, it's all just talk.
@sammyg
There were litterally 10's of people at the utah scrimmage yesterday. The tv news made the mistake of showing a couple of angles that showed the stands and there couldn't have 100 people there. This on a beautiful day with perfect weather. Much like utahs offense the fans didn't bother to show up. In their defense though it is hard to get out of a shift at taco bell.
Duckhunter,
Nicely done, going with the mildly amusing "fast food angle." It's a tough call, deciding between it and the equally overdone "living in your parent's basement" slam, but I think you chose well.
May I suggest rolling out Subway rather than Taco Bell, or is that too edgy?

You disregard my response to Naval and tell me what I imply? Maybe I implied respect. (Personally, I believe I implied disrepect to Naval's arrogance, which other's take as my own arrogance, and reply with their own arrogance... Funny, eh?)...
I could have cared less about Donny, but if you want him at the U's practice, I'm sure there are people you could contact.
Plenty of people, known and unknown to all of us, have already been at the U practice. Some, the DN chooses to report, others want us to know so they blog about it. Others just come and leave and don't feel the need to tell everyone.
Whatever floats everyone's boat...
Why 90Cougar, I beleive that deserves a very rare and seldom used "LOL"!!!
Thanks ducky for the attendance report.
Got to hand it to those CU fans, they know they are lucky to be in the PAC-10.2 and appreciate the opportunity to compete. Come thick or thin they will support their team.
The ESPN PAC-10.2 Blog was exciting to follow wasn't it? In case you missed it, here it is again...
"The Utes were scheduled to scrimmage Saturday but it was called up due to bad weather and was rescheduled for Monday."
I was blown away by the news.
Troll nation is out in force today! It's a veritible who's who of BYU trolls, the toolbox must be half empty in BYU land their all over here.
News flash, the 15K attendance at CU was for their Spring game, Utes scrimmage where "scant attendance" was seen was just a normal practice. There will be 15K at the Red & White game, don't worry. That's when you'll see some more coverage on the Utes in the PAC-12 blog on ESPN, too. Oh, and if you want a summary of the Spring coverage so far, just go to the blog and click on "Utah Utes" on the right side.
Ted Miller has explained many times that the name won't change to PAC-12 blog until July 1, especially since baseball and other sports are still operating under PAC-10.
