Many years ago I was a member of a USU student ward and heard a talk by the USU Studentbody President and his wife. I knew his wife from my high school years and had a special interest in what they said. They were on a snowmobiling date and were caught in a storm. Literally, their lives were at stake. I don't remember what they did to survive the storm, but I do remember a comment made by the wife. She said that date did more for their courtship than any other date, because it let each of them know how the other reacted in emergencies. The snow storm wasn't a contrived philosophical situation. It was a real-life situation in which they could have died.
