Thank you Susan. I loved (and now love) Joseph Fielding Smith. As a teen, I was privileged to attend a youth fireside where President Smith and Jesse spoke. He sang with Jesse after playfully mentioning that the number was a "do it" rather than a duet. His greatest desire was to remain true and faithful to his covenants. I attended his funeral at age 16 and felt a remarkable spirit in connection with his passing tht confirmed his divine calling, both in his live and in eternity. His life's work continues to be memorialized through his sound doctrine and his prolific scholarship. He was and continues to be a mentor to members who never had a chance to meet him in this life.
Now I more fully understand the love of the Prophets that Susan has. She is truly a gift of spiritual light in the midst of so many other authors, and it is lovely to read of her own experiences and tender times with prophets now and who lived on before. What a treasured gift she is sharing to us all.
