You gotta be kidding!!! This is only the third or fourth change since City Creek construction started. Why can't Deseret First pick a location and stay put. This is my credit union, so I can complain. First of all, Social Hall Ave is not a wide street. This will just add more traffic to the street. And why close the branch on 200 West? It is easy to get to, without the downtown traffic.
Wow! I thought that they had a permanent place right above the food court in the city creek development. It seems to be a really nice place. I agree with utahtexan that Social Hall Avenue is extremely narrow. I'm not sure how they will handle parking...there's plenty of parking, but you have to pay for it. I'm really concerned that Deseret First isn't going to make it out of this poor economy!
As a member of Deseret First, it is moving only because its North Temple building is aging, the new location, unlike its current City Creek bank, will have a drive-up, and it will enable DFCU to combine all of its services, like
investments and insurance in one larger full-service location.
