Instead of allowing a Mormon candidacy being defined by the Republicans or Democrats as their theocracy or early history why not expound on the teachings of Mormon himself and expose them to the world. Apply his principles to our society and government today. A Mormon candidate who is a typical Republican or Democrat has little more to offer than what is already offered.
Unhappily, Romney is political poison. He's the poster child for socialized medicine and when he flip-flops it tends to be in socialist directions.
Unhappily, the cure would only enhance the potency of his poison though it would win him my vote:
1. Apologize for his role in socializing medicine in MA and sincerely recommend its repeal.
2. Flip flop back to supporting the legal status of abortion while recommending that no one participate in it.
It would be right, and I'd vote for him then, but it would be political suicide. Finding another candidate would be a better strategy.
A lot of recent college grads are unemployed, cant find jobs the economy is bad, So ask yourself, how did that happen? Everyone who is honest knows it happened under the Republican administration and Obama has had to clean up after. But what I have yet to hear from Romney is an idea to change anything except to go back to the same policies of cut taxes and increase military spending. I'm serious about this. And note that government is not the same as business.
