Kinda boring article to read, not interesting.

Seeing as how I don't get to watch the game, your comments on each player help me to enjoy the game much better -- thanks!

Giving Jimmer a "B" is interesting. When a point guard leads his team in scoring, the team usually loses. Fredette changes the whole complexion of a basketball game. Just the threat of his three point shots spreads the defense and opens up Davies. When he drives, he is double and triple teamed and someone else is open. BYU isn't successful just when Jimmer scores forty; they are just as successful when he scores 23, because someone else scores the other 17. How many point guards who led their winning team in scoring (twenty-three is nothing to sneeze at, by the way), would be given a "B" for their effort? I give him an "A."

GChris, I agree with your analysis above, but I would give Jimmer a B+ - A-. His shooting percentage is the only reason I would not grade him a A. He does open the floor for his teammates and makes them all better. The stats he produces would garner any other player a A+.

Thanks for the in-depth article. Jimmer won't be in the zone for every game. With all of the talent on board it's nice to have others who score. Alan Iverson's individual talent never won team championships.
