A lot of newsprint hype about the Wasps "repeating". They will have their hands full with Cedar City in quarterfinals. But Wasatch is first and foremost a tough, tough defensive team. Brown's scoring line could also have included 5 blocks and at least that many steals as well. And he isn't the only one. This is a team from the get-go and I emphasize team. Plus, they spread the floor on offense and create matchup problems. And a key in the playoffs - - they shoot free throws at a high rate - - - and like the pressure during tournament time. While it won't be easy, I think they will likely repeating as 3A champs.

I agree, it won't be easy to repeat. Wasatch has the toughest road to the title out of any of the contenders. Desert Hills has a cake walk into the semis, and should easily handle an over-rated Morgan team, to make it to the final.

Just maybe we should let some of these other teams play before you hand the trophy over to Wasatch or Desert Hills. It's not who is ranked all year long that matters, its who peaks at the right time and that is why they play the games. The results of the Deseret Hills and JD game were not the same as the first time. You cant always predict a high school game today by how the results were the first time they played.

Calm down, Morgan Man. The talk on these boards are just predictions that people are making based upon what they've observed this season. Morgan is a good team and they have some talented players, but they haven't showed consistency and have lost in situations where they were expected to win. Desert Hills and Wasatch, on the other hand, have demonstrated consistency and ability to win the majority of their games. So, people are speculating that those teams will continue to demonstrate what they've shown all season.

Does that mean that Morgan won't show up with its A-game or that Wasatch or Desert Hills won't have a game where they don't play as expected? Anything can happen. Most people here are just guessing that what has happened so far this season will be what plays itself out in the tournament. Is the past the best predictor of the future? Maybe not, but it's the best information available--anything else is pure speculation. Morgan should forget about what people say here and just focus on playing its best.

Im saying right now its Wasatch vs. Morgan in the Finals with Wasatch repeating but it being a GREAT game. Evans scored 18 against the Wasps early in the year look for him to be completely shut down to single digits in a rematch and Brown firing off 36 for a season high if not career high "yes this kids that good" and not just shooting, defense is where he makes his offense happen!

That's what I call over confidence. Fortunately the boys aren't exhibiting this. :)
