WOW! The State legislature actually did something sensible. I'm amazed.
These amendments are a good idea, but a constitutional convention is not, because it's too undefined and potentially uncontrollable. It would leave the entire Constitution wide open for mischief pushed by radical activist groups with lots of marketing money. We have too much to lose. Rather than taking that risk, just channel these amendments through the NORMAL amendment process.
Isn't there anything important to take care of this session beside tea party statements?
