Tell me that God protects me, when I get shoved into lockers for my sexual preference. I'm a raging skeptic, yes, but show me proof.

Thank you for your story. I too have felt the arms of angels around me, blessing me, guiding me and comforting me. Sometimes those comforts came in the midst of severe trial, illness, loss and pain, but they came... and I am grateful.

Tell that to ANY amputee who has prayed fervently and has yet to receive a new limb grow back.

Some people like to rationalize that when God doesn't stop someone from killing another its because he respects our agency and if he interfered it would nullify that agency. Yet we will constantly read articles like this in which people believe that God makes exceptions to that rule by intervening such as making a gun malfunction while a would-be murderer tries to shoot someone. If these types of "miracles" are permitted and do not nullify agency why doesn't God save every person that is in danger or that is in need some special type of help? Im just wondering if God is going to be so selective in how he "interferes" why does he even do it at all? It just sounds like really bad parenting to me. I mean if you have a kid thats about to touch a burning hot stove, are you just going to stand there and watch, for his agency's sake?

Some of these questions and reactions are very good. Take the missionaries who are generally well protected but in the past year several have been killed randomly through no fault of their own. Why, does the Lord allow this but in another circumstance forstall the action.

There is no rhyme or reason for this but a lot is based on faith but the one thing that is missed is THY WILL BE DONE. You can pray all you want for protection and if something happens, it is always the will of the Father.

Droughts, floods, earthquakes whatever happen just as much to God fearing people as they do to those who don't. Is he being selective or what? Again it isn't our will but his that is done. Christ could have walked away from the cross but didn't because he did the will of the Father. He was the only one begotten of the Father in the flesh yet he was allowed to be crucified for us. Whether you believe in him or not, it was for you and come judgement day, you will see why HIS WILL BE DONE.

or it could just be weather patterns.... and have nothing at all to do with your god....

So what is the purpose of even praying, if God is going do do what he wants to do anyway?
