When my wife does the grocery shopping, we always seem to run out of beer and
Slim Jims. When I do the shopping, no problem.
I think the advertising spokesperson is mistaken and that men really are cooking
and shopping more. With all the food shows and competitive cooking on Food
Network and other channels I think that more men want cook, and when you want to
cook you want to choose your ingredients.
What's the big deal. Is there something wrong with a man shopping for
groceries. What is this supposed gender bias: Only women are capable to
shop?I worked my way through college working in a grocery store.
Consequently, I am more that qualified to shop for groceries and do the majority
for our family.
My wife and I do the grocery shopping together. It's a "thing" we
have. I enjoy the time with her, and she is gracious enough to tolerate me while
being the ruthless shopper she is.
I do ALL the shopping in my family. I also do all the cooking. My wife hasn't
used our kitchen since we moved into the house three years ago. We're both very
happy with this arrangement.
