Aplause to the State Archives, although the characterization is a bit amiss. If you can say the Japanese constitution written by Gen. McArthur and required to be accepted by the defeated Japanese nation is an " original document of citizens' rights", then I guess you can say the same for Utah's original constitution. This was not a document written by the people of Utah. It was written for them and require to be accepted of them by the occuping US force. It is filled with bigotry against the predominant faith (I am not a Mormon). It is really the opposite of a peoples' document or even a document of the leaders of the people.
