Seems only fair to do the same for the people on the list.

This is an outrage, that our Attorney General is more concerned about prosecuting whistleblowers who brought crimes to the attention of the authorities than punishing those who were stealing from the American taxpayers. Perhaps not all of those on "the list" are here illegaly (ok so a whole 2 of those on the list were confirmed as legal citizens), but the rest of them were stealing benefits from the Utah taxpayers, so why aren't the ILLEGAL CRIMINALS being punished?

I think it's definitely time for we the people to vote out these bums like Shurtleff and Ralph Becker who cater more to illegals than they do their own LEGAL constituents.

That would be a "violation" of their inalienable Illegal Alien "rights"...I'm guessing that when one VOLUNTARILY submits their DNA, she's pretty sure, none of hers' is going to show up where the "investigation" thinks it is. Just a hunch.

Civics 101. You can't prosecute people based on illegally obtained evidence.

@CHS 85

Reality 101. You can't prosecute people who are here illegally no matter how you obtained the evidence.

Morality 101. The hard-working, tax-paying immigrants deserve a thoughtful and reasonable opportunity to become U.S. citizens. Just like most of our forefathers got

Provo, UT

Honesty 101 they had a chance to be US citizens, they chose to break the law instead.

What about the 32 out of 34 Social security numbers that were frauds. Will they be prosecuted also for falsely obtaining government services? (felony)

Or is the investigation dragging it's feet until they have time to obtain new identities?

Kearns, UT

Conservative, you show the american people an honest tax paying illegal foreign national and I'll prove they are liars just like the life they are living in Utah.

BTW, being an "illegal immigrant" is impossible. Immigrants are documented and have permission to enter this country. Illegal aliens only think they are immigrating when they shoot their way across the Mexican border. It's disgusting that illegals compare there forced invasion and contempt for america with our forefathers.

The americans and illegals are here for different and distinct reasons, one is to loot, the other is to become and american. Hiding, cheating, looting, theft, is not assimilating or wanting to be american. Obeying the law, not breaking the law is becoming an american. Our forefathers obeyed the law to immigrate.

Also for the record, illegals in this country are occupying and looting and pilfering the poor as verified by the Department of Workforces own records. Welfare, food stamps, and social aid programs are for poor american citizen, not illegal aliens whining about how much they hate being an illegal Mexican. Just because Yapis and Robles and priests tell you that you are an immigrant doesn't make you one.

Beginning to wonder if this woman was guilty, or if the state felt they needed to break the case quickly.

I am tired of the double standard. Prosecute both, or no one.

South Jordan, UT

If we are going to charge to female whisle blowers, then we MUST be fair, and charge every illegal that was on the list.

Cottonwood Heights, UT

Are they really illegals if the state and federal govt haven't done a thing about immigration in forever? Also, people please be upset that your fellow Americans are hogging up the welfare dollars too. There happens to be a huge population of born and breed Utahns that have been sucking the system dry for years.
