While I understand there are individuals who want to access this area without having to deal with dogs, I would like you to put yourselves in the shoes of dog owners like myself. We really don't have that many places in the valley and surrounding mountains where we can take our dogs, whereas almost everything else is open to people without dogs. Please consider that we would like a space too where we can take our animals to enjoy off-leash nature and the outdoors, including the river. I appluad the city council for doing the right thing at first and hope that they will override Mayor Becker's veto. Having worked with him when he was a House representative, I think he's a great mayor but disagree strongly with his position on this issue.
