Welcome to the club New Mexico! Don't forget who started this club.
My question is with a minute left why let the clock run for 30 seconds and then foul? Poor clock management at the end of the game.
YES YES YES!!!
Man, 'ya boays just don't know when to keep in down.
boast boast boast-LOSE!
Saturday against the U could get ugly after this loss. Look for Emery and Haws to wake up...BYU by 20+
Enjoy your win USU, you may end up in the NIT this year. Whoo hooo CheeseHeads!
I actually agree with the announcers. I don't think this was an upset. BYU lost to a very good ranked team on their floor. That is basketball. The same goes for the Utah State game. Cougs can start it up again with a beat down on the
utes.
Great game New Mexico.
BYU made a couple of critical mistakes at the end of the game that cost the Cougars any chance of pulling this one out.
Still, hats off to the Lobos for hanging in there.
Cya next month in Provo.
Why even pass the ball to Miles?
He bricks a shot or can't handle it and makes a stupid turnover.
to win, but BYU did a great job hanging with the Lobos throughout the game and having a chance to win at the end.
Losing to a Top 25 in the Pit is no shame, and to be honest, most BYU fans are realistic enough to admit this is game that they expected BYU would probably lose.
This would have been a nice win, but the Cougars are still in the driver's seat for the regular season MWC championship; just not as much of a cushion.
Saturday's game with Utah is going to be fun. The Cougars are going to be hungry and the Marriott Center will be rocking!
Can't wait!
First B-Ball Game of the season I was able to watch. Of course it was a loss...Sorry for the Jinx!
Actually I know how hard it is to win in the PIT. I thought the Y showed much grit, truly. But their weakness at a dominant big man showed. Hope is still strong for a fun and championship season, but the team appears to need to be tougher inside if they are going to beat the teamsin the tourney.
Will... Answer is you have a mediocre coach that doesn't really know what he is doing, hence the multiple 27-foot shots by an undisciplined team.
Somebody needed to help Jimmer out.
I saw no assistance form the big men (Miles or Davies).
BYU will win when they play as a team. The jimmer show ain't gonna cut it against the good teams.
Re: MissouriUte. Still better than you homey. Cougars will pull it out.
BYU is so unathletic, which is why they never win in the NCAA's. Get in Jimmer's mug, get in JT's mug and presto, BYU losing, no surprise.
Not sure how they lost to USU, we beat them easily. BYU is a joke and it is good they were finally exposed for what they are . . .
No monday morning QBing as I stated at the beginning of the season, BYU is not athletic enough
to guard a quick team.....tonight was a preview of coming attrations i.e. NCAA. Emery was not shooting well so why not use No. 1 and why was Morgan and Lloyd sitting on the bench when they were the only two players who could stay with NM
Gary.....and Haws played as a freshman so why not use No. 1........poor defense under the basket letting NM get 2 or 3 offensive boards which is a killer in the NCAA. And as usual, JT gave up as many points as he scored. Coach Rose "coached"
as if he was resigned to losing in the "pit" as evident by leaving players on the floor when they were not playing their normal game, and not guarding Gary with his quick men who spent the game watching from the bench.
Are you kidding me????? BYU loses to a RANKED team by 4, at one of the hardest places to play and the yewts lose by 6 to Wyoming?????? You have no business coming on here and bashing the Cougars when your team is so PATHETIC. We will be taking u down BIG on Saturday...pink shoes and all.
Dude, back away from yourself, easy little man. Few win at the Pit and UNM is a very good team. They out rebounded us and deserved to win. BYU kept it close, but UNM closed it out, so kudos to UNM.
MissouriUte: See you Saturday where the SL media will declare you the better team before the game begins.
See you here after the game, little man.
I have to admit I was really hoping that the Lobos would win - but byu played a great game.
New Mexico over the last 20 years has become one of the hardest arenas to play in - it's really all they have down there.
The greatest thing about New Mexico winning is maybe, just maybe it will ease up all the taking coming from byu fans this season - even if it's just for a day.
Thanks Lobos and Go Utes!!!
How bout them Lobos?!!!
Gloating over a BYU loss in the Pit to a Top 25? lol
How'd the Utes do in Laramie tonight?
Unfortunately for the Utes, this will just make Saturday's beatdown even worse. Instead of maybe coming in a little overconfident, the Cougars will now be hungry to start another winning streak; and what better place to start than with the U.
