we will see how this eratic team performs. Have they really changed to be competitive night after night? right now we are the best of the worst, or is it, worst of the best????????? Most agree,we need to fill some vacancies to be playoff competitive.

The jazz is playing very well lately. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up being in the top three of the western conference. Keep it up, Jazz!

no #3 seed for Jazz

Jazz will not be a 3 seed, it will goes as follows:
1. Lakers
2. Nuggets
3. Mavericks
4. Blazers
5. Spurs
6. Thunder
7. Suns
8. Jazz

Just Win!

If the Jazz will just make up their minds to win every game then they will not be playing musical chairs at the bottom of the heap but sparing for a respectable seat at the top. They have what it takes! Go Jazz! I think there is only one top seat so why don't they sit in it.

Please don't play the Laker again in the first round. We can't beat them in a series and I don't want to see Gasol's face anymore than I have to. (or Kobe, fisher, Nicholas, etc.)

re: no #3 seed

You are wrong.

The Jazz won't be 8. They will either get it going and move up or they will miss altogether.

The thing that worries me is our record against the West. I believe we have either the worst or second to the worst record against the conference of the playoff teams. Our in division record isn't great either. One would have to think that would catch up to us at some point. Right now the schedule looks favorable, I just don't know if we are that good? Jerry seems to look foolish every time he does something else because of an illness or injury. He certainly has botched the whole AK situation over the past couple of years. Seems like AK and a few others could play a lot better if they were managed better and or given a vote of confidence? But hey what do you want for a 6 million dollar coach a motivator......nah. Sloanaholics would say the old school approach is working just fine!

The Jazz can beat anybody in the west but the Lakers. The way their playing right now they have a good chance if they can keep it going.

Jerry is doing a great job. So y'all need 2 Layoff.

who cares

So.....the the challenge is to make the playoffs?........thrilling

Trade Idea

What if the Jazz got Amare for the likes of Miles and Memo? What do you think? Amare would give a good post presence and help on defense, which would help the Jazz against other bigs and in the playoffs.

Amare for Miles & Memo doesn't work. The Jazz are over the salary cap. Kirilenko would work, but would either team make the trade. It would just about be a wash for both teams. I think Kirilenko would love it, however. Boozer & Miles would work, but the Jazz take on payroll and gain another year on a team busting contract. If you are really interested in getting Amare then you would probably have to throw in Korver along with Miles & Memo. That would be interesting, but I'm not sure I'd like to see Memo or Korver leave.

Re: Trade Idea

Uh, apparently you don't watch the Suns very much because Amare does NOT 'give a good post presence and help on defense.' The guy is no better than Boozer or Memo on defense - never has been, never will be.

I live in Phoenix, watch the Suns, and listen to the commentary. Amare is rumored in trades every year because he doesn't do the exact things you think he could provide for the Jazz.

Besides, what makes you think the Suns would want CJ Miles? Or Memo for that matter - who's not exactly having a great year and just signed an extension.

Not Amare

AK's defense only helps us when he's happy - has anyone else noticed that he's been smiling the last 2-3 games? But, if AK's shooting doesn't kill us, his contract DOES! Let's hope the Russian billionaire buying the Nets will want him THIS YEAR in a trade for Lopez!

Ok Not amare dude, you are in fact completely wrong. Yeah ak has a huge contract and a lot of the time he as not lived up to that contract but have you not been watching him play lately?? the man is on fire!! he has had consecutive games where he has just lit people up. All the sports commentators are remarking on it and they are all saying when Ak is firing on all cylinders that the JAzz are unbeatable. Heck, even most of the players haev been quoted saying that!!! and for the record, Boozer is improvign quite a bit on teh defensive end. the jazz as a whole are improving on the defensive end. amen and amen

"Unlike some on the team, Boozer is a standings savant. He gets a kick out of watching all the jostling. He made sure to find out after Saturday's blowout win over New Jersey where the Jazz stood, and he's excited about upcoming games against the likes of Phoenix, Portland (twice), Denver and Dallas."

When you're not sure where you'll be playing a month from now, it matters more to you to watch the standings.

The Lakers will probably finish first, and the Nuggets second. After that, it's up for grabs in the west. I'm still not sold on Dallas, and I wouldn't mind playing them in the playoffs if I were the Jazz. The Spurs look old, the Blazers have been stricken down with injuries, the Suns are gradually beginning to fade, the Thunder are losing close games and lack experience, the Rockets are just pesky but are severely undermanned without Yao Ming, the Hornets are a two man team, and the Grizzlies have no bench to speak of.

Why not the Jazz?? They are young, experienced, deep, and well coached. Injuries aside, I can't see why they couldn't climb to say...third place.

Please don't make any trades.

Please don't make any trades.

Please don't make any trades.

Give up the trade talk. No one is going anywhere the rest of the year. The Jazz are the Jazz. Inconsistent and no floor leadership. Up and down like a rollercoaster.

Maybe Boozer should stop watching the standings and start focusing on his output. Yes, he has been playing well for the past few games, but how about some consistency!

CJ Miles

is the weak link on this Jazz team, can`t we trade him or just waive him?

One way to look for a trade is to get someone that is very high caliber level. I am now promoting Al Jefferson for the Jazz.

T-Wolves offered to trade him to Indiana two weeks ago and the coach in Minnesota is unloading all McHales players and beginning again. This is a fire sale.

KOC find out what they want and as long as we are left with Deron and Boozer and Jefferson we can take on the NBA. That threesome will arugably be very stiff competition for the Laker threesome and it will give us a chance this season.

Jazz can get Jefferson who is very close to compliling Boozer type numbers and is not liked by the new coach.

Hello!!!! does anyone else see this birds nest on the ground. Package up Korver, Cj and Millsaap (sorry Paul but it is for the win here)and send them to Minnesota. We get a big scoring and inside defensive presence and a ring.

Come on Kevin...please
