This is one program that our legislators can abolish and save millions of dollars with. I, being the tax payer being forced to aid illegal aliens, am totally against this program being pilfered by illegal aliens.
The state is interfering with free enterprise with this insurance program and is illegal to begin with. Tax payers are not paying taxes to run a state owned insurance company and it must be challenged in court as an illegal use of tax funds. Especially when it is given to illegal alien foreign national felons.
It is time for our legislators to stop illegals from looting and pilfering our state budget funds from the taxpaying americans.
Maybe you wou just have the legilature pass a law that requiring all children to be put in concentration camps.
I feel sorry for you, your hatred for children i sshowing.
My children have been covered by this program recently due to loss of employment and my wife and I not making enough to cover insurance costs. Don't look at this need through your racist bigotted lens. Proud US American citizen!!!
How could you write this story and not include the income level bracket for eligible families, or other requirements that must be met to enroll in this program?
This is a direct quote from the article:
"There is a family income ceiling for CHIP, but any child born in the United States is qualified for enrollment."
Last I checked, if you are born in the US, you are a citizen???
Also, I would have liked to have been told what the income ceiling is.
This program is funded by the federal tobacco tax. There are many studies to show that this is a tax that hurts the poor the most and puts an undue burden on a minority of people using a legal product.
As the war on tobacco continues how will the revenues be kept constant? What will they tax to replace tobacco revenue when it runs dry?
CHIP (and Medicaid) are only for children that are U.S. citizens or legal residents.
