Stress is bad for your health.
Comfort food reduces stress.
Ergo
Comfort food is good for your health.

Heh. I just bought the cookbook "Mastering the Art Of French Cooking". It's not exactly a diet friendly book.

Especially when you're living in the land of Fondu, tartiflette, raclette, and Lindt Lindor chocolate! Maybe I'll start exercising when it gets warmer...maybe...

There was a time when comfort food was important to me, too. Then I had the heart attack.....

Eat what you want and just blame your thyroid like several other articles on this page do.

Seriously folks, just eat reasonable portions, avoid all processed food and take a long walk after dinner and you'll be fine.

It works for the French, it'll work here too. Perhaps the French don't have thyroids??

So we had to do it.

Saturday we had a pot luck deep fry, did chicken, did wings, did hot dogs, did pickles, and mac and cheese. For dessert we did little candy bars, Little Debs, twinkies and cookie dough. What I liked the best was the chicken, it was actually not coated with anything. But the flavors injected in it were so good and it was really moist. So honestly, I would like to just once in a while do a chicken or turkey breast, the other stuff really wasn't that great.

I certainly hope you are getting some comfort out of some delicious food. Even a casserole or two. Maybe some fish tacos too. Thinking of you! Get well soon!
