Of course education is facing cuts.
Does the dnews just recycle this story every year?
I laugh that the related story linked to the right of this article is entitled: Legislature embraces high-tech.
Nice.
The legislators are playing solitaire on their new iphones/blackberry while our students and teachers are once again going to bear the burden of a balancing a budget.
How do these guys sleep at night?
Find any and all charter schools with empty seats, those with no wait list, and shut them down, fold the students back into the school district and sell the buildings. If they can't meet their stated enrollment goals, then obviously the "MARKET" doesn't want them..and I don't my tax paying dollars to support two schools that have to hire the same certified teachers and have to abide by the same rules and regulations and report to the same state superintendent of public schools..the logical conclusion is this; why do we need two kinds of schools that mirror one another when we can't afford them???
Close them down.
