God Bless and the best of luck to the adopted parents. Despite our imperfections, we are still a caring and loving country. Way to go the United States of America.
Talk about luck of the Draw and winning the Lottery.
It is a wonder that anything could get done.
These kids will one day realize just how lucky they where.
It is sad that some kids had to be left behind, because of paperwork, however you have to follow the rules and obey the laws.
My mind on being Legal or Not Legal does not change because of this.
If some where visiting and it was time to go back, I think we might have to give that some special consideration, like extending Visas. Just the right thing to do.
However if you just do not check in and go Illegal or break any laws, when you are caught right back you go.
This is a bigger adjustment for the family and the individual then you might think. Everyone talks about going to adopt and the process and paperwork is so slow, and sometimes the reality never comes about.
Now the Reality Check is Cashing.
I would like to look back in this Window in 15 years and see how everyone did.
There is a line in 7th Heaven, that applies to me, in this situation.
I wish all Well.

How can the U.S. afford to take in these kids or refugees? Utah - dead last in education funding. Talk to the immigrants from Iraq or Sudan who have awful lives here in the U.S. because we don't fund their relocation here. We are so quick to take on the worlds problems but we fall short in the long term!
To: JT what are you that coldhearted about these children of God. The children coming over are being adopted by the GOOD PEOPLE OF UTAH, I am glad to see that their are people here in Utah that has a heart to do this kind act. the Bible even says that Jesus never turn away the children. I guess you don't beleive in God or what the Bible teach us. I feel sorry for a person like you.
My wife and I have adopted two special need children right here in Utah. At any given time, we have hundred fifty plus children awaiting adoption right here in our own back yard (Provo to Ogden area) so why not take care of our own first. After Our own Utah kids have good homes, I can see helping out elsewhere, but lets get our own homes first.
Who even knows if these kids from Haiti are really orphans or if they are simply misplaced and families or extended families will emerge who can take the children in. It is always better if children stay with their families. My feeling is wait a minute until more investigation is done.
didn't the article say the orphans came from the Crche Enfant Jesus orphanage in Lamardelle, Haiti? so why wouldn't they be orphans??
