Finally, some professionalism

Sam Gill is a smart and experienced prosecutor, and would be a breath of fresh air in the SL County DA's Office. Lohra Miller has been a free-fallin' disaster for that place.

My vote

Anyone who promises to stop plea bargaining murder cases will have my vote. Murderers like Mark Hacking should be on death row, not enjoying a life of ease in prison.

Dave

I've forever been a Republican voter outside of two races, this will be my third vote for a Democrat and good luck to Sim Gill, thanks for what you do for people!

MC

I too am a Republican and plan on voting for Sim Gill! I am disappointed in Ms. Miller -I recently got to know Mr. Gill via a committie we both serve on. The county would do well to have a well balanced and level headed DA of his caliber.

bluedog

Go Sim you've got my vote.

This is the man who "settled" the recent dispute over improper behavior in the LDS Church Plaza by refusing to prosecute because, he said, the Church's warning signs were inadequate to inform people that the Plaza is private property and the owner controls the behavior of visitors. And he reached this decision after 10 years of public dispute over the Church's ownership of the property and its right to control behavior.

Clearly, this man just looked for an easy way to resolve a case that he considered too hot to handle.

If Mr. Gill becomes the County Attorney, I wonder if he will use similar excuses every time he finds himself with a difficult case.

Start to sing

Ding Dong! The Witch is dead. Which old Witch? The Wicked Witch!
Ding Dong! The Wicked Witch is dead.
Wake up - sleepy head, rub your eyes, get out of bed.
Wake up, the Wicked Witch is dead. She's gone where the goblins go,
Below - below - below. Yo-ho, let's open up and sing and ring the bells out.
Ding Dong' the merry-oh, sing it high, sing it low.
Let them know
The Wicked Witch is dead!

Heather

Send Lohra Miller Away!!! You can not have: (Crazy people are running the Asylum)

RE: My vote

first of all, David Yocum, a democrat, was the DA when Hacking was offered the no death penalty deal...also, how does Gill explain the "brain drain" from his office in the form of experienced prosecutors leaving to go work for Lohra?

wandrew

Frankly, I am not glad to have to choose between Sim and Lohra. As Chair of the Utah Libertarian Party, I am hoping there will be a third choice this year. Interested attorneys, please contact us.

Sim Gill is an earnest, hard working public servant. He would make a great DA. Thank you, Sim, for taking on this challenge!

Democratic insiders favor Sim

Sim Gill would be another Lohra Miller, only with a donkey logo after his name. Salt Lake City observers know Sim chooses politics over doing the right thing routinely.

Greg Skordas is seeking the Democratic nomination, but Utah Democratic Party leaders are backing Sim.

So, for all those who have expressed enthusiasm for getting a quality prosecutor like Skordas into the Salt Lake County D.A.'s office want to see him elected, get busy getting elected as a delegate at local Democratic Party caucuses so you can outvote the current insiders.

Dave P

Sim, I'm 100% behind you! In all the years I've known you, beginning when your child was in my wife's kindergarten class, I've seen nothing but an hororable, ethical man who really sees the needs of others.

John C

Consumate politician, cut from the same bolt of cloth as the rest of the bureaucratis prosecuters, plee bargining makes, it's easier to do the job mentallity.
Go anybody but Gill.

D. Robertson

Sim Gill is corrupt and a liar. The thought of him winning the DA office makes me feel ill. I have worked closely with Sim and I know that he is another phony "bleeding heart" and is a puppet for his current staff.

I agree with John C. Anybody but Sim Gill
