yes, let's pass cap & tax and shut even more EPA-regulated domestic manufacturing industry and ship the jobs to Asia where there are no regulations so their smog can drift back over our cities. Cities which team with the unemployed because all the jobs are gone.
Well obviously something needs to happen. That's why nations should work together not independantly to reduce emmissions. Those of us who are going to be here a bit longer would really appreciate those who are running things now to start considering what kind of legacy they want to leave behind. I heard figures that all of the processes that the Earth systems do for free such as cleaning the air, and water, could cost in the multiple trillions if we had to start doing them ourselves. One example would be de-salinating sea water because there's no clean usasble ground water. It's much more expensive, and if we kept our forests, and wild lands pollution free then we would not even have to worry about it. Also as the mountain glaciers melt, billions of people will lose their water sources within the next 50 years. I don't think it's a surprise that young people, the ones who will be around to clean up the mess, seem to be more concerned about this than everyone else.
All is well.
