it wasnt corbin miller who had 15 to lead his team. it was his freshman brother brandon miller.
Brandon Miller didn't even get in the game. What game were you watching?
The stats are wrong. It was Corbin who did the scoring not Brandon.
Great job Jordan!!!
Jordan rules Brighton again!!!
good job jordan. you guys deserved it tonight. can't wait until next meeting though. Wunderli won't be shut down next game. He missed way too many shots that he normally makes. Miller will have a better shooting game to. You guys deserved the win tonight. congratulations.
this just shows that jordan is one of the elite teams in the state and they can't be stopped at home. i expected a better game in the first but brighton did come back. if jordan made their free throws they would have won by 20. jordan has got a great game against alta next wednesday.
well officated game!
well well well.....another great win by the diggers! way to go boys! joe, kevin, nate, steve.....you guys are BEASTS!!!!! we are one of the best teams in the state, and we can play with ANYONE!!!!! i can't wait to play alta, and show them what we've got! well coached game by rob geertsen! and might i add.....the digger posse (student section) best student section in the state! teams should be afraid to face us on our court!!!!!!
As a Beetdigger fan I must say that I was very embarassed by our JV team on Friday night. What I saw was a lot of very bad sportsmanship. I have never seen a team get three technical fouls and have a player ejected with his second T. And then to make it worse, one of the players family members was asked to leave. I hope something can be done about this. It should be taken care of by Coach Geertsen.
I was at the game, and I cannot even begin to describe how different Jordan basketball is from what it was five years ago when I played for Brighton. They are well coached, disciplined, and are as good as any team I have seen at executing in a half court set.
I left last night disappointed in the outcome, but my hat is off to Jordan High's coaching staff and their players. They outplayed, outcoached, and outclassed us in every facet of the game.
The last ten seconds of the game when #30 stole the ball and could have dunked it, but decided to dribble the clock out.... pure class!
So Jordan, is your coach leaving for Herrimann HS? Word on the street is yes.
I continue to be impressed with this guy's ability to prepare for games. He is emerging as one of the state's best coaches. Jordan's game plan last night to take Wunderli out of the game was solid. He scored 9 points, but 7 of them came from the line. In fact, I don't recall him taking more than 1-2 shots the entire second half. Credit the defensive preparation there.
To Slim Shady - why would Geertson leave Jordan when he has completely turned Jordan basketball around in under three years? That move makes no sense to me. I would be curious to hear your thoughts about that and why you think he would leave?
This group of seniors are like 50 and 7 in their high school career. Soph, JV and now varsity. Great players make great coaches.
Coach Geertson is very good but these seniors and Joe are very good.
Jordan had better individual players last year but this team plays as a TEAM.
Great job Jordan. Keep it up!!!
might not be beat on their home floor the rest of the season.
I agree with slim shady about senior class. The same goes with brighton also. sophomore year they lost 2 games(both to Jordan) junior year 3 losses(2 to Jordan)senior year 3 losses so far(1 to Jordan) Jordan seems to have Brighton's number for some reason. Bingham starts 5 seniors. This is a great senior class all around the valley. There must have been something in the water that year.
I have heard that this might be the deepest and most talented group of seniors across the whole valley. I can't vouch for that, but it seems true. As far as Brighton is concerned, they basically have two feeder schools; Albion and Butler. The group of seniors who went through both schools that are still playing basketball this year are as follows: Albion; Jordan Wertz, Matt Chaus, Xan Ricketts, Niel Monson(Waterford), Ajay Pizza(Juan Diego), James Tingey(Skyline), Logan Pfau(Hillcrest). Butler; Sam Wunderli, Jace Felix, Moses Lotuleilei, Matt Aiken, Mike Woodland, Adam Trujillo(Riverton), Arlen Smith(Cottonwood). Not to mention Danny Hanna, Alec Obermark, and Drew Ivory(Olympus) who played up until their senior year. great group of kids.
Jordan will win state Geertsen will stay
the champ will come from region 3 again sorry jordan you still will have a good season but the champ will come from region 3
bingham, west jordan, and copperhills will all win there first round games against region 4 teams come march
Bingham, West Jordan, and Copper Hills do not even match up with Region 4. Check your facts bud.
There is only one good team in Region 3 this year and that is Bingham. Don't even waste your time throwing in the other teams, none of them are going anywhere.
Region 4 crosses over with Region 2 this year, and Region 3 with Region 1. I do know there is one exception to that, but I do not recall what it is off the top of my head.
Go to the UHSAA website and it is posted there.
region 3 matches up with region 4 in the first round in all games but playin games so get YOUR facts straight
