That was a fun game to watch. Good job JD!!!
Great game very entertaining and the atmosphere with the crowd was awesome. Two good teams with really good coaches.
It was an exciting game - lots of runs, comebacks, runs. Really fun. Region XI is an awesome place for competitive athletics. Congrats, JD.
Lets just call this the Private Schools state championship.
How can a game with a score of 40-36 have had lots of runs. An average of 10 points a quarter? Come on, man! Were these runs of the six point variety? ha ha
It was surprising Judge was able to make any run at all considering they all have been involved in final exams since Tuesday. The teams energy level looked fried from the start. They'll be ready next time. Go Judge!
Judge doesn't care about athletics any more. Just ask their principal. It is now a "College Prep" school only. Bring on Rowland Hall!

Why do people feel compelled to make excuses when they lose a sporting event? Why do they fool themselves into believing others will give any credence to the excuses? Let's see, does anyone here buy into the excuses here or do more of you simply believe JD stepped up and won the game?
Is his first name pepperoni?
we would have won if we made our free throws, I mean they won they earned the game but, we played terible.
Looked like their free throw percentage was slightly better but pretty poor!
Yep... you both shot 13. JD made 7 and Judge made 5. You would have had to shoot 70 percent and they would have still had to shoot 53% for a tie! LOL 75 percent is considered decent... if you both shoot 75 percent, they still beat you by two! In other words, you make 7 like them and they still win.
Oh, I just heard someone from JD say... "if only we'd shot better from the floor, it wouldn't have come down to the wire."
Just face it. There is no way any body in Utah can stop the One-Two punch of Star guards Hesleph and Pizza. They are unstoppable. You think you find a way to stop one of them, then the other one goes off. They might be the best Duo in Juan Diego history.
Pizza and Hesleph make a great duo but Wasatch's duo of Bamgartner and Brown are averaging 35 points per game which is nearly 7 more than the juan diego duo. All great player, hope they meet in the tourney!
If no one can stop them..?.. why the 5-5 record?? and Marquis Wilson and Mike Larsen were definitely the best duo at Juan Diego..
will rank them #1. Ignore the rest of 3A and put in Juan Diego. They are the best.
" Wasatch's duo of Bamgartner and Brown are averaging 35 points per game " That statement there, and the competitiveness of the JM-JD game shows that the 3A tourney is going to be a blast this year. Everyone keep on keeping on so we can all have fun in Orem.
i wish there was more of an even playing field last year when i was a senior. could be any team on any day. Ben Lomond FTW
Hesleph and Pizza are both studs. hopefully we will see how they match up with wasatch down the road.
