Big Tim needs to settle his affairs with the law before he considers a run against anyone. Not sure felons can even run for a federal post.
go timmy!
Although I understand and share the concerns with this group over the position of Matheson during the last year. It is more important to focus on people like Chaffetz since he has a potential to create more harm. When we go down the road of purging representatives, this makes us in the same position as the republicans, a fractured party. I am afraid that this could backfire in the end and the seat could go towards the tea bag express in the fascist state.
But we have already seen the Jack@ss's way's of change in 2009 and 2010 so far. Change it back to the way it was before Dem's ran the senate or house.
Straight to jail........
Because DeChristopher legitimizes any candidate he endorses, right?!
Excuse me, but how does finding and running a candidate constitute a "disruption?" Is that not how the system works? We support different candidates and have an election? Is this newspaper trying to make more of a story than there actually is here?
Why is anyone keeping this jerk in the spotlight? Let him serve his term.....in the slammer where he belongs.
...is a typical liberal. He lives in the greatest, wealthiest, most powerful, most prosperous country in the history of the world and all he can do is complain about how awful it is. I wish we could him to live in Somalia, Sudan, Guatemala, Angola, etc etc for awhile and let him see first hand how most people in the world live. I doubt he would learn anything from the experience, but it would be fun to see his confusion when he tried to find someplace to plug in his fridge, computer, stereo, etc.......
There is nothing creative about what this dude is doing........His arrogance is boundless........
If DeChristopher is that opposed to Matheson, then Jim must be doing something right.
Anyone voting for Matheson should serve jailtime for aiding & abetting a traitor, just like Bush voters. Oh, you claim ignorance, that's right(wing).
'..."solid moral values and a resistance to selling out to corporate interests."
Potential candidates are also expected to stop "catastrophic climate change" and end "imperialist wars of aggression," among other duties, according to the campaign's Web site...'
Hey Timmy, the "catastrophic climate change" you speak has changed to a cooling period, and the person who has "solid moral values and a resistance to selling out to corporate interests." does not exist. Given the right amount of money I would even guess that you could be bought...
Nice try. Enjoy your new home in Gunnison...
As I see it, Matheson's the only democrat I've ever known that actually represented his constituency. The rest of the dems in Washington are Pelosi puppets.
...is not a typical liberal. DeChristopher is a liberal extremist who turns liberals like myself off.
Disrupt a campaign, huh, Timmy? Very Richard Nixon of you. Makes perfect sense you'd prefer a Republican. Hey, Timmy- how did the whole campaign disruption activities turn out for Tricky Dick and his crew?
I wonder if Timmy is still a natural gas consumer, even as he tries to disrupt natural gas drilling? Brilliant!!
Look Tim- this is so bogus. A Republican would be better than a Dem in the seat? How is that possible. Matheson has done things that are very unpopular with Republicans purists, give him a little credit and stop being such an absolutist.
How much money are you giving to this candidate? Oh, that's right, none, because the candidate your panel chooses will be in charge of their own fundraising. Good god.
Also- why doesn't it say on the website or in the ad who will be picking the candidate? I thought that people wanted more transparency, not less.
"Creative disruption" should be "Illegal disruption"
Deseret News is censoring anything logical or factual from this post. Consider yourself uninformed, readers! No balance here.
Chaffetz and Bishop didn't do anything to hurt the health care bill since they were irrelevant. But Matheson used his influence to seriously weaken the bill then voted against it anyway! Matheson is proving that traitors are worse than enemies.
Tim DeChristopher is an ignorant showboat. Anybody with half a brain can see that Matheson is 1000x better than any of his Republican challengers. If this guy wants Chaffetz 2.0, I encourage him to continue.
This isn't a "disruption," it's an ill-conceived attempt that doesn't even come close to accomplishing its own goals. If he wants to make progress, focus on Chaffetz and Bishop - they're equally as vulnerable as Matheson (which is to say, not very), but at least the effort would be less hypocritical.
Maybe it's not all about party politics - but to ignore party politics entirely is equally as misguided as blind obedience to party. Tim just happens to be blinded by ideology instead.
