what a shock....not!
the only surprise is that more mormons did not identify as conservative. That 8% must be mostly outside Utah
Not. We are the type of folk that pull ourselves up by our bootstraps, try to keep and live morally clean, and help others the best way we know how.
Should be a good fit for everyone.
Duh!
I wonder if those polled include Harry Reid?
Mormons conservative...MacGuire used steroids...
Here. Let me write the next Des News Headline!!!

Coming tommorow, Part Two: The Sun to Rise This Morning!
Operative phrase here being "self described"!
Please define "conservative." Does that mean social, political or fiscal? Many of the "conservatives" I hear don't know the difference. For those who prefer to analyze rather than stereotype, it's an important point.
Wow, how interesting, I hope they didn't spend money on this study because I could have told them the outcome with no expenditure. Of course Mormons are overwhelming conservative and frankly I'm proud of that. I think we are supposed to be politically correct and be ashamed of standing up for what's morally right and we are definately homophobes for not immediately supporting the rights of gays to marry and adopt (because they can't reproduce on their own but their lifestyle is perfectly normal). We are also prudes and unenlightened because we don't want neighborhood bars and adult entertainment. Even worse we want Christmas carols to be sung at school programs, prayer clubs in school for those you want to participate and adult magazines covered up in stores.
If the poll had split 'Protestants' up into Evangelicals/Baptists/etc. and other, non-Evangelical protestants, how Mormons would compare to the Evangelicals. I'm guessing they would be very close in numbers.
Sounds like we are all the same with no diversity in our political thinking. Are we human, or are we dancers?
What is their criteria for conservative?
Simply because someone identifies themselves as such?
Great data.
and yet Utah ranks the highest (per capital) for downloading pornography of the internet....... i guess the two go hand in hand.
DUH! we're the least close minded folks around town!
A Utah resident 8%'er.
Is ultra-conservative an option? I love guns and capital punishment. I hate abortion and gays trying to get married. Mormons . . . gotta love 'em . . . unless they're named Harry Reid.

Hi-larry-us!
America: We Mormons apologize for our being the most conservative. Some of us aren't idiots.
