Way to go go Lady Titans.
Good game ladies way to work hard.
they will meet again in the state championship. Both are strong teams. Look out for a rising Lone Peak team and don't discount Skyline or A.F.
The Titans are a very talented group of young ladies that don't come along often but when they do they are fun to watch. I guarantee you the coaches didn't make these girls into what they are, they simply inherited a very talented group of winners and ladies that have played hard for years and now have a platform in which to perform on. I find in interesting the coaches like to take credit for how good the team is and three years ago they knew not single one of these young ladies. Bingham, on the other hand has developed a great feeder program that insures good quality players and teams year in and year out. Great game and good luck to both in the future.
I hope so, however not unless Bingham can match the intensity of Syracuse, get more physical, and learn how to break a full court press....That was the difference in this game..
I saw Syracuse play for the first time this year and they really are that good. Worth every bit of the hype. What makes them so dangerous is the depth on offense. They have too many weapons. Plus they run their press to perfection! They have great chemistry as a team. Bingham could never find an offensive rythym with the press. I bet Syracuse scored close to half of thier points off Binghams turnovers in the press.
Where in the article or when has any of the coaches taken credit for the success of the girls. You don’t even know what you are talking about. They give all the credit to the girls for the success that they have achieved. Why can’t you just support the team and leave your negative comments to yourself. What the team is doing is awesome and they don’t need your negative comments.
I am not tied to either team, and went to the game as a casual observer. THIS GAME WAS NOT EVEN CLOSE!
The final score is not even a true indicator of what happended in this game. Syracuse dominated and it was a 20-30 point lead for most of the game until a Bingham run in scrub time.
The score was 37-17 at halftime. 20 point lead at halftime! At the end of the 3rd quarter it was 52-29. Ouch.
This really could have been a 30-40 point blowout if Syracuse keeps their foot on the pedal. Syracuse will be hard to beat. The Martin girl is a high level Division 1 player. Hazlett is very long and athletic, and I heard she already committed to play for Army. On top of that they have about 3 guards that rotate that are very good. The little short point guard, #2 I think it was, tore it up in the first half.
Bingham looked outmatched, but they fought hard and were very physical. Dezz Ramos and maybe the big center were the only Bingham players that could make Syracuse's team, and they'd be bench players
Give the coaches some credit. And saying that they won't be good year in and year out is also an unfair statement. Syracuse has great players this year and the three best players are a Senior a Junior and a Sophomore. They will be around for a while. And to say they don't come along very often is interesting since this team is a third year school. And had a semifinals appearance last year as a second year school. They even made the playoffs the first year without any seniors. They have played very well, and the coaches have had an effect. They decide when players play and what to do on offense and on defense. Winning takes two things. A coaches good strategy, and the teams ability to excecute. Yes the coaches at Syracuse inherited some incredible players, but they also have a winning strategy. Credit goes to the coaches and the players. Way to go Titans.
Point is, this team (Syracuse) is so talented they would win if a parent was to coach them. They are hugely talented and will be in coming years because of the talent that is coming up, unlike the Bingham, which develops that upcoming talent. Both programs are solid, one because of talent and the other because of coaching, big difference.
thank you
I thought Syracuse look real strong and they are, this year Bingham is off but are still getting the most out of what he has to work with. Good talent comes and goes; good coaching will be around for a long time. Good coaching is more than Xs and o's or winning when you simply have the talent, what fun is that. This year (maybe a year or two in the future) Syracuse will have the talent but Bingham will have the coaching
These girls work extremely hard and spend hours practicing and conditioning, including Saturdays. The coaches did inherit some talent, but regardless much of the credit goes to them for keeping the girls focused, humble, and dedicated. They are great people who devote (as all high school coaches do) an incredible amount of personal time and concern for the players. They know how to get the best out of the players and have lifted them beyond any level the girls were on before they came to Syracuse. The best thing about this team is the respect they have for each other, their coaches, and their school.
Syracuse played well, but give me a break. Only two Bingham players could make the Syracuse team, whatever
is full of talent. but dont even compare the coaches please.
Syracuse it full of talent, but really do we need to tear down the coach? High School coaches work too hard to get any grief from you all sitting behind your screens.
The Syracuse coaches are the ones that put in a press that the Bingham coaches figure out how to break.
I agree with Titan parent, seriously lay-off!
I have no connection with Syracuse, but keep up the great work Rob.
BTW, I know that Rand would be very disappointed in the Bingham fans jumping on here and railing on a coach who just beat him handily.
Rand is a classy enough guy to give all the HS coaches around the state props for a job well done!
How do you know that Bingham fans are getting on here and "railing on a coach"? Do you have a way of knowing who is anonymously posting on here? Give me a break. I am a Bingham parent and I say way to go Syracuse. As expected they are a very good team with a very good coach. I know that he and Rand are very good friends and speak often. Syracuse beat us fair and square. Our girls did struggle with the press and as a previous poster stated, many of Syracuse's points were a result of turnovers. Quite simply, Bingham did not play well and Syracuse played extremely well no excuses. Both teams have great coaches and talented players. I couldn't disagree more with the statement that only two Bingham girls could make the Syracuse team, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Looking forward to a great season for both teams!!
to watch if Syracuse and Springville played each other.
Thank you i hope both teams do well too.
Sounds like a parent whose girls do play anymore, right B?
