Stockton would play

Of Course He Would

Stockton was not a primadonna.

OhioJazz

Oh, give that a rest! Stockton is NOT playing in the NBA anymore! Would he have played, probably, but today's NBA is totally different than when John played.

Now a days the NBA is about(guaranteed) money and NOT basketball. Once you all figure that out you'll be satisfied with the mediocre play, and "injuries" that sideline "athletes" for months while they collect their paychecks.

RE: Ohio Jazz

Amen. Love Stockton and Malone but the past is the past. We can't keep pining towards the past if we are in anyway going to embrace the future (bleak as it is).

Anyone thinking that. . .

The fact that Gaines was signed to a 10-day contract tells me there is really going to be some kind of trade before the deadline. Whoever thought giving up Mayor was a good idea, raise your hand. I'm sitting on mine.

jazzman72

No worries if D-Will is out indefinitely, Price and Gaines will take us to the promised land! Haha!

jazzman72

Which Grizzly will get his career high tonight?

TrueBlue

As much as I hate Kobe Bryant, you got to give it to him, he PLAYS through every single injury... Why? Because he loves to win, and doesn't settle for mediocrity. Wish we had some of that same passion here in Utah...

Umm..

Mayo or Randolph, that my guess!!!

STEVE-O

Not sure about the scoring. But I'm willing to bet Gasol gets a career high in rebounding.

i don't usually write on boards.. but i've know deron for years!!!! he hates to not play. i hate refs that allow hits like deron took the other night. coach sloan doesnt have the right people on the team at the right time..I like coach sloan but it's time for him to be retired...like they did bobby bowden. the young players need a coach to work with them

please play deron!!

Re br

hey where`s the resident know it all...you know the guy that claims he played at a "High level" what a clown

Sokol

D-Will is starting to get annoying...He is on thin ice too....A primadona with no leadership skills.

Let's move the team to Albuquerque...The new Albuquerque Conquistadors....

@OhioJazz

Agreed. Besides, do we really WANT to mimic our past teams? Our past teams didn't bring us a championship, forget the past!

I agree with trueblue 100% if you want to be a champion you need to play with minor injurys when your the star player of a team

Chuck Nunn

Kobe plays hurt, but as happened the last time the Lakers played Utah, the Lakers don't always win. If he hadn't played, his touches would have gone inside to Gasol, Odom and Bynum and the result could have been very different for the Jazz. If Williams isnt able to go, he shouldn't. This game is going to be decided in the paint, so all Utah really needs is someone to get them into their offense. Price, Brewer, AK can all do that, and maybe Gaines can get in and get some baskets for us. The big problem is going to continue to be whether or not Fesenko gets in and the Jazz abandon the small lineup that doesn't work.

Pigeoninferno

I have only seen a small amount of comments the last couple weeks about Fez. Does no one notice the disturbance that kid causes in the paint? After seeing the last 5 games I got nothing good to say for CJ. Terrible 360 in the last game. haha. With Fez getting minutes and Wes Matthews starting the Jazz had a fighting chance each night. Jerry messed with the Chemistry and its been a fight to keep up with crappy teams ever since. Jerry's an amazing coach but when something works leave it the heck alone!!!

Sokol

Hoopsworld and several other sources said the Jazz almost picked up Hilton Armstrong of the Hornets, anyone know what happened to that?

Sokol

The rumor was reported less than 24 hours ago regarding Armstrong...He would be a good pick up for the faltering lackluster Jazz.
