I hope to be the 1st comment posted! Here comes some stupid comments on both sides of the global warming er climate change debate.
Here comes the
"See, the whole Global warming is a myth" because it was colder in my little SE corner of Davis County myopic view of everything else on the entire planet - knot-hole view of the world.
Stoke up the coal powered generators,
leave the lights on,
I'm going for a joy ride in my SUV because there is no Global Warming.
And to heck with the Air Quality being Red - it's just a natural occurance - there is nothing man-made about it,
it's just another government conspiracy trick to take away and control my God given rights!
...
The global warming scoffers come out every winter. They are examples of the inability of some people to grasp a planet-wide event.
Global warming is happening and will result in significant climate changes, including this little corner of the world.
Uh, global warming and climate change are natural phenomena; the planet has repeatedly cooled and warmed ever since the beginning of the Pleistocene epoch over 2 million years ago.
The recent warming observed since the beginning of the industrial era is not that significant, and very well could be due to natural variation. The planet went through a "little ice age" for over 300 years; who's to say that we're not returning to "normal" temperatures of the Middle Ages (if there is such a thing as "normal").
