Way to go Jimmer. I just love your game.
Love,
Biffie
Jimmer had the game of a lifetime against Arizona. I'm happy for him and just glad I got to watch it. He's a great guy and a great player. Glad he chose to come to BYU.
What a guy! Keep it up.
Jimmer is player of the Nation with the flu!
Go jimmer. keep it coming.....
Yo boy fredette is doing some work. I aint no byu fan. I know that kid aint from utah. Where is he from, cause he plays like hes from back east, If ya'll know what i mean. Most of these utah players don't move like that.
This is a great honor, but just remember, the season is just getting started.
Don't get big-headed and start reading your press clippings. Keep your head in the game and remember you have lots of weapons on your team to help carry the Cougars; you don't have to carry the team by yourself.
Good luck against the Rebels tomorrow night!
Gooooo COUGARS!
No need to remind Jimmer about sharing the ball; he's also the team leader in assists. One of the great things about his mindset and game is that he has absolutely no issues with sharing the wealth on nights when he isn't exactly feeling it. I think that he'll keep grounded even now that the Cougs and he himself are getting lots more press.
Go, Cougs!
All the honors for Jimmer and also cracking the national rankings--perfect set up for laying a huge egg next outing. It will be sad if it happens since that next outing is UNLV. I hope it does not. It's all a matter of the now huge expectations. How often have we seen the Heisman trophy winner have his worst game after winning the award--and etc.??
This kid doesnt play scared. He plays like he belongs on the big stage and has since he first arrived in Provo. It's great to have a big time talent who can compete nationally.
Round two for sure this year ya'all.
Jimmer Fredette has been playing awesome for BYU! No doubt that he deserved the award. I hope he plays like he did against Arizona tommorrow when BYU plays against UNLV! UNLV is a good team, so it will be a good game. Go Cougars!
The glass isn't always half-empty. Enjoy the ride. BYU will lose another game this season. Go cougars!
Congrats to Jimmer. He deserves the award - love to watch him play.
kick him in the knee----rah rah ras---kick him in the other knee!!!!
Way to go Jimmer! We are all happy for you, and we are especially happy that we can all stop hearing about Max...what a relief.
I said a few weeks ago that Jimmer reminded me of Danny Ainge and one blogger dismissed that comment as absurd. Maybe it wasn't so absurd afterall.
Jimmer is a gamer; and with all of the other outstanding players BYU has surrounding him, this could be the best team BYU has had since that famous Ainge-led Elite Eight team of 1981.
Fredette is nice, no doubt. but, im thinking you Cougar fans are in over your head. Brandon Davies and Tyler Hawes best. Hawes can shoot and Davies can bang. They are BYU's biggest threats. not Fredette..
Amazing!
The biggest news for college basketball in utah in the last 13 years!!
Go Jimmer, what a stud!
Scoring 49 points is a significant threat.
Let the man have his day in the sun.
I would hope that everyone could be gracious enough to honor a great performance which Fredette did have.
I suspect that the Basket Ball Writers know the game a bit better than those making comments here (although they can be bias as well).
Great performance Fredette. Keep it up, that is the best way to silence critics.
go wildcats, what have Davies or Hawes done that has been as consistent as Jimmer? If there is one guy on the court that I would want to have the ball with the game on the line it wouldnt be Davies or Hawes. Jimmer has been almost automatice from the line at 93% and is leading the team with 21 pts a game. The next closest player has 13 pts a game and thats Emery. Defensively he is 2nd on the team to Emery in steals.
Let me know when Davies or Hawes starts producing as much as Jimmer.
What is also amazing about the Fredette/Arizona game, if I understand the report correctly, Jimmer received a standing ovation from the ARIZONA crowd and fans when he exited the game after his 49 points. To me this was as great of an honor of appreciation and sportsmanship than the 49 points. The Marriot Center had a BYU opponent player many years ago score some 50 points in a similar game, and he too received a standing ovation from the BYU fans. His name slips my mind, but I'm sure others reading these blogs can add this information.
