  • Matthews loves Matthews

I totally agree ...can't stand to watch Matthews play!He always looks like he's in motion, but he doesn't know where he's going. He's trying to make a name for himself as a defensive tool but he runs all over the floor saying "see me Jerry, see me, I'm a stud. Play me". It isn't a pretty sight.

@ Miles - Your an idiot! Because the kid comes out and hustles every second he is on the court you think he is selfish. CJ should try it and then everyone could hate hime even more!

  • Trade the coaching staff
    Jan. 5, 2010 1:02 p.m.

Just think about all the individual talent the Jazz team has! Any other coach in the league would be delirious with this team. Trouble is the system used by the Jazz does not play to the strength of the players. Someone needs to blow up the Jazz play book and start fresh! We can trade and trade and trade, but when a player comes to the Jazz he must fit in that system. That stale system handcuffs the talents....soooo you all can talk all you want about trades, but when a player is in Utah he must sacrifice all the enjoyment of playing basketball he has ever known to hack the ball inside and let someone turn it over time and time again. Is is frustrating....certainly is to both players and the fans. Is it time to play to our teams talent? A great big yes! Why the management can't see this is very baffling. We have the players we need to win...the system just needs retooling! Leave the players alone! Get some insight coaching staff!

Matthews has ruined this team, selfish, can`t shoot, and plays no defense,he should never leave the bench

Sign a nobody just to fulfill the NBA rules. Tell him that he doesn't even have to come to the gym. Sign him to the minimum and let him be the waterboy.

  • The FO has to try to
    Jan. 5, 2010 10:47 a.m.

save the season. They can not rely on Korver getting well.

They have to open up the inside offense or they have to replace Sloan and rebuild with a new approach.

    DWill has a sprained wrist.

I am not sure if the FO goes for a wing who can shoot or a back up PG. If they could get both in the same player that might be good.

The crisis is bad enough that the FO is going to have to do something to fix the bleeding. A D-leaguer is not going to fix the inside offense.

Miller can not support Sloan much longer. Another month of this and he will be forced to replace Sloan.

Juggling players may buy Sloan time but forcing bad trades will only make it worse in the long run. Integrating new players is messy in the short run.

If Sloan can not open up the inside offense he is gone.

About the only hope is to get a wing who can shoot.

That wing then has to learn the offense. However, he could just jack 3s (like CJ only hit them).

Wafer is cheap. 10 days would not hurt anything.

The jazz have the fewest technicals in the NBA. They just don't care enough to risk $1,000 on a technical foul. They lack passion and it shows on the court. This is why fans are booing. Getting out-hustled at home. It makes me wish I could sell my tickets- but nobody would buy them today. Need a new coach. Underachieving is a sign the coach is failing.

I didn't seem that defense was the problem last night. Scoring points seemed to be the problem. How is playing Matthews going to help that?

  • Matthews needs to go
    Jan. 5, 2010 9:47 a.m.

It looks like Sloan pitting his players against each other for playing time has backfired. Everyone is out for number one! No team spirit now it's all each man for himself. At least when the rotation was consistent each player knew he would get playing time and they cheered each other on. Matthews ruined the team spirit and destroyed their winning team. Everyone wants to get rid of CJ, but it's Matthews that needs to go!

Until Sloan decides to be consistent in the rotation the Jazz will inconsistenly play. PLAY & START WES MATTHEWS, he knows how to play defense. The bleachers are going to look pretty empty until they can get their act together.

Still think he was worth all that money, still think he is better than Boozer? The Jazz should never have paid him that kind of money.

    Perhaps more than one??

  • okay, okay
    Jan. 5, 2010 6:59 a.m.

I'll do it. I'll sign a stinking contract with the Jazz. I was hoping to get to play on a "real" team, but I guess this will have to do.

Tracy McGrady needs a team to play for..... yeah right. I know, I know, KEEP DREAMING!

  • Time for CHANGE!
    Jan. 5, 2010 3:33 a.m.

Keep D Will, blow up the rest, (especially Memo) bad chemistry and too little defense! Time to bring in a new coach to put his own stamp on the team, not fair to leave Sloan in for one more year to reshape the team before handing it over to a new coach with a different coaching style.

BTW, New Orleans only had two road wins all year, best cure for that is playing the JAZZ!!!

  • Don't get excited Jazzfans
    Jan. 5, 2010 12:49 a.m.

O'Connor is going to do exactly what he always does....nothing. He will sign some DLeague slacker to a 10 day contract or bring back Brev Knight. This team has gone down the crapper quickly. Well I guess there is always the first 10 games of next year to get excited about.

I think a significant trade is going to happen before the trade deadline. Perhaps, really soon. I sense guys are looking over their shoulders after the Maynor deal, thinking...am I going to be traded next?? I just sense with the latest string of losses that it really forces the Jazz hand to make a deal. They need to do something major to show the fans they want to improve. A trade would be the best PR move right now.

  • Funny Article here...
    Jan. 4, 2010 11:27 p.m.

sounds like business as usual. The hole in the Jazz dyke has grown to monumental proportions and the management does not even realize it. They are going to blow the whole business with foolish spending like the Obama administration is doing to this country to bankrupt it. I guess it is a sign of the times. Where is our leadership?

  • What?
    Jan. 4, 2010 10:53 p.m.

By the looks of things the Jazz need far more than one player. Blow it up and start over.

Who cares. They're going to add some D-league or ex-NBA player who will never leave the bench. In fact, he may even be sitting behind that bench in a suit. Maybe Loozer can give him his tailor's card.

  • What?
    Jan. 4, 2010 10:20 p.m.

So the Jazz trade E.M. and then say they need another PG. Why didn't they just keep him in the first place. He was doing a great job.
