I am sure that this won't shut up the enemies but this proves why I was lucky to play in this program. I knew it then and I still know it now.
Who are you? Why don't you say your name?
Bingham supporter!
The win total is awesome, however Rand has sucess is many other ways. He builds team loyalty, honesty, hard work, and dedication to school work. His players learn valuable life lessons not just basketball. Thanks Rand the entire Bingham community is proud of your success and we appreciate your hard work..
Congratulations to Rand on 400 wins. Rand cares about his kids and will do anything to help them. All of the players that play there are taught basketball the proper way, to work hard, play together and be competitive. He clearly has made an impact on his players and on girls basketball in the state of Utah.
I hate Rand because he's at Bingham, and I hate all things Bingham. Translation: I totally respect them and all of their programs. For the most part they do things well and they do it the right way. Everybody hates a winner, and they are at the top of just about everything. GO HERRIMAN!
Rand has developed a dynasty at Bingham. He arguably is the best HS coach in Utah history. I've hated the fact that my daughters always lost to the Miners. However, I applaud his accomplishments. His success has created a huge group of supporters. I'm only sad that he has taken so many players away from other schools. Even some of the girls named in the article didn't live in the school boundaries. Rand was quoted in the DNews once saying, "the good players gravitate to the better programs." But he has helped many players get to the next level.
Bingham, an elite team, played the weakest team in 5A. Thank you Rand for scheduling Cyprus and thank you for letting Cyprus end the game with dignity. Rand is a Class Coach.
he is a good coach. I do need to say one thing. do the parents of these kids like this open enrollment. Davis county is starting to do it now and i don't care for it too much, It just seems like the same teams dominate every year. Just a curious fan.
Way to go Rand! It is an honor to have had you work with two of my kids. I know you won't take the credit for the success, but you deserve it. Bingham has good athletes but they have Great coaches that get the most out of the players. Now on to State!
Randy has always been a fierce competitor, with a kind inner-self. As an outstanding athlete, himself, in football, baseball and basketball, he learned the fundamentals of team sports not individual accomplishments. He learned from some of the best coaches in S.Cal, and now he inculcats those principles in his student athletes. Congratulations, Rand, on your 400th victory. Great that you remember what coach Lyons taught you.
Oh Rand, way to go. . . and counting!!! My brother and I have always said we would pick you to be on our team, you have always figured out a way to win. Great honor. All of your records stand for themselves, maybe, just maybe I can grow up and be a winner like you, that's all I want. Love ya, and congrats!
Way to go Ras. . . You make your old Long Beach friends very proud. "Show me something!"
Congratulations Rand, having coached for 30 years, I realize what a significant acheivement this is! I also know that you learned from your Dad, who was one the great influences in my life. You were a model for me on "how to compete. Cograts again!
Awesome! Congrats Rand! I feel lucky to have been coached and guided by you...
Thanks for all you do!
Rand--Congratulations.
I used to coach at Timpanogos and briefly got to know Rand when we traded films. He is a decent guy and always treated me well.
Rand is a phenominal coach and person. He overall wants what is best for his girls whether that is basketball or something else. He influences them and changes them for the better, he helpes them strive for excellence. Way to go Rand, Congrats!
15 years ago I used to play against teams coached by Rand Rasmussen in Pony baseball. Every time he would see me he would ask me how I was doing in school and offer a tip from a previous play of inning.
My brother had to opportunity to play for Rand when he was 8 years old and he was a better baseball player for it. Rand is a great guy who loves to help kids.
I can see where people wouldn't like him but most people that are great at something always have a few more hater in the gallery.
Congratulations Rand!!!
Rand is the man. Nice job! Too bad you couldn't get 401 against Syracuse
