Loved reading this article on the many views regarding war with Iran.
Given the obstacles, mainly domestic pressures, that prevent Iranian, Israeli and Arab politicians from risking peace, other than refusing to slide towards war, what can Obama do, practically, to promote peace in the Middle East?
Excellent article considering that an Iran war would be Obama's greatest irony. Yet, the president finds himself in a very delicate situation considering that unrest in Iran continues. So long as the Iranian domestic scene remain unstable, Obama's likelihood of engagement dwindles. Should sanctions fail, the hawks may have the fodder necessary to gain US domestic support for military conflict.
Considering Obama's Laurette appeal, greater non-profit and NGO exchange would be beneficial to breaking down cultural barriers and decades of enmity.
Seriously?!?!
