Throw away the key....

Lock him or her up throw away the key and save taxpayers million of dollars! Write to your local congressman for tougher laws!!

terribly sick and disturbing

I am sure that this guy will be let off with not one bit of remorse, and very little jail time. Sad to see how much our system cares about our children.

Write your congressman and demand laws of equal punishment for false accusation! Save taxpayer dollars on 50% of the sex abuse cases that should never have made it to trial!

Seeing that society is more concerned about animals, (you get more time for animal abuse than pedifiles get for molesting a child), perhaps if the child were an animal the judicial system would more attentive to this issue.

Why do parents leave their little girls with a male babysitter? That's just asking for trouble. I know several women who were molested by a babysitter and they were all male.

What???

I hope you're not serious at that comment. With that thinking let's just assume that all men are perverts and will molest children and lock all men up.

Anonymous: If that were the case, why do we have men teach school? Oh, wait, it seems to be the women teachers who have had problems in the schools--especially in Davis County. Most people of both genders would never do what these people have done. It's unfortunate such things happen, but let's not blame an entire gender.

what's happening out there in society, there are still decent and good people out there. This guy, though, needs to be in the slammer for a very long time. My heart goes out to the innocent little child and her family.

I still maintain that leaving a little girl with a male babysitter who is not a trustworthy family member is just asking for trouble. Err on the side of caution. Her future well being is at stake. Predatory teachers of either gender have to work harder to find opportunities to offend. Babysitters have their victims handed to them on a silver platter. They're in a private place and the parents aren't around. Use common sense people and protect your kids.

This is another reason for parents to be PARENTS. Probably a third of my life will be spent with children in my home, under my care. I can wait for other pleasures, like going out or working because I want to, when my children are grown. I will have a lot of time on my hands then. I agree with the comment that even family members can be the offender, so limit the time spent with anyone that can offend exponentially. Children are given to us for care, it is the parents duty.
