David Carlson came from the AGs office and did well there. I'm sure he will serve very well, where ever he lands next. Good for him and his family!
The mayor is certainly entitled to choose her own city attorney, but her explanation for recruiting a new attorney was tactless and unkind. Dave Carlson is a good guy and an excellent, thoughtful attorney, and shouldn't be slammed by comments about "confidence" and "work ethics." The mayor needs to think before she speaks. Good luck, Dave, in your new endeavors.
