Deron Williams?? haha

Best 5 this coming decade:
1. Dwiht Howard
2. Chris Paul
3. Dwyane Wade
4. LeBron
5. Amare

Next best
1. Derrick Rose
2. Chris Bosh
3. Brandon Roy
4. Carmelo Anthony
5. AL Jefferson

These guys will be huge this coming decade. Sorry Jazz, not Deron Williams, he is not even an All-Star yet, Ouch....

stupid article

Was the point of this to be able to put Dwill's name on some sort of list of "greatest players?"

the dude is not even an all star yet, and while good, is still not. all stars are leaders...dwill can't do that nor play defense.

Chris

60's Bill Russell

70's Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

80's Magic Johnson/Larry Bird

90's Michael Jordan

00's Shaq/Tim Duncan

10's Lebron James

FAN

haha you think tracy mcgrady is a leader? All star appearances mean virtually nothing. It is just a popularity contest, as shown by the current results. Aaron Brooks ahead of Deron? To say that Deron isn't going to be one of the best players in the coming decade is stupid and it's even stupider to base that off his lack of all star appearances.

re fan

How are the rockets doing compared to the Jazz? Who as the best record? Tell me, is Aaron brooks leading a team of role players to the playoffs? I think so.

Is Deron leading the Jazz to the playoffs? I really doubt it. Whis team has more talent and should be doing better?

The answer: Utah

I love the Jazz but OKC is a better team, and frankly I'd argue that Sacramento is too. they have lost some tough games.

re fan

one more thing. I don't judge Deron not being a top guard in the coming decade solely based on his lack of allstar appearances. That would be stupid. I base it on his lack of ability in pulling together this team. This team has plenty of potential and he can dribble through his legs right fancy but can he unite this team to win? and not just win against scrubs but against competent teams? I agree with the first post. as of now it will be D rose and C paul as the top pgs.

The boards are really quiet because they destroyed Philly last night but they should have. When they go on the road and lose the next two there will be some crying. Sure they should win in Minnesota but they lost to them TWICE at home so who knows. They will absolutely not win in OKC They are horrible on the road and like I said earlier they are a far superior team as far as talent.

seriously you ppl dont know a thing about basketball. Deron williams is getting a lot more attention these days for being the best pt guard in the league. he has a better fg% than either rose or paul. he is averaging more assists than either on a team that shares the ball more than any other meaning he doesnt handle the ball as much as the other guards do. he is stronger than both. i dont see chris paul dunking over anyone. and dwill can play defense. have you seen him play one on one. he can shut donw a lot of players. I dont know who you are watching. basketball is a team sport there is more than just derons guy on the court to guard. plus io dont see eithe rose or paul posting up there guy. anything else you would like me to state you let me know! ive got plenty more FACTS to back it up.

re jazzfan

Wow, u are so right. So superior in your knowledge of basketball. Can you please teach me all you know so I won't make the mistake again in believing dwill is overrated?

Db

Paul has been injured this year. Statistically, because that's your marker rather than results, he's better career wise in ppg, assists, and steals....derons having a good year because he wants to play for his mama in dallas

Emotion..

This guy is better because he is.. and this other guy is not better because i said. (solid arguments on both sides guys.. you should all be proud). I don't get all the hate.. this is a GUESS at the next 10 years.. All fan feelings aside, I would go with the more durable player. If Deron goes to a non-coached/big city team his scoring stats and pop votes will go up and then all these arguments fall flat. Who really knows what the next 10 years will bring??

Andrew Bynum?

LOL! He did not do anything until recently. He will play well now for a contract and than be the next Eric Dampier. This Laker bias is a joke. Brandon Roy is underrrated. Roy is one heck of a player and unselfish. Roy has very rare and special talent. Talent Kobe Bryant will never have because he is a ball hog 24/7. Boo to the Lakers. Derrick Rose is overrated! Anyone who thinks Rose beats out Williams is full of hot air!

RE: Re FAn

You want to bring up records of teams and how one is leading their team to the playoffs and one is not. You correct Aaron Brooks and the Rockets have a better record so far, so far! As Far as Derrick Rose and Chris Paul. Is either of their teams in the Playoffs or making big pushes towards the playoffs. I think now. People seem to forget controversey! The Jazz had some of the most controversey in the league over the summer. Deron Williams is still leading a Jazz Team, who at times plays selfish and is still in the playoffs. Sure, they put on a facade and all. But he has a Power Forward and Center who don't play defense worth crap. He can try to lead them and tell them all he wants what to do there and they still don't. The Offense on the other hand is averaging well over 100 points per game. Deron Williams seems to be leading that just fine. It's the defense, which lies a lot on individuals that is not doing it's job. Tell me, how is Deron suppose to fix that.

bynum

is the most over-rated player in the league right now. i have yet to be impressed by that guy. putting him as one of the best centers of any decade is a joke. why don't we throw greg oden in there too while we're at it? Maybe add blake griffin, he hasn't even played a game yet, that should be enough to dub him one of the best players of the decade.... article = fail.

SoCal

I'd put Brook Lopez in at center behind Howard. Bynum's potential is obvious - and he teases fans with occasional breakout games - but he can't seem to string it together consistently. Other than that, great list. Love the Tyreke Evans pick.

re: re re fan

follow the thread dude. The argument about Aaron brooks was that he has more votes as an all star. I said he deserves them because he's been a great leader of the suprising Rockets.

As for Paul and Rose...New orleans is three games out and has been 6-4 over the last ten.

Chicago is a 1/2 game out but is the reciprical of NO at 4-6. The east is weak and they could very well be a playoff team. They have no business being there after losing Gordon but I'd argue they are because of the play of Rose and Hinrich.

The point is The Jazz are barely in the playoffs. The west is as strong as it has ever been and there are five teams below them that could make the playoffs. I wouldn't be suprised to see Sac take off once Martin is back. They are a good team now but with a Martin/Evans backcourt the points will be crazy. OKC is a great team too and they will make the playoffs this year.

It's time to gut this team. Did stock ever use excuses not to lead?

Dwill deserves

Who cares if Dwill is not an all star yet. Stockton didnt become one till 5 years into his carrer, and we all know his success in the NBA. Dwill is still young and is going to get better as his carrer moves on. Dwill is talented and has a tons of potential, enough in which it could lead him to the all decade team.
