Save the money that would be wasted on a trial, lynch him now!

Anonymous

There is a lynch attitude, to be sure. But Powell could head a lot of this off through his own actions and statements. People act dumb, get in trouble, and blame others for their own stupidity. Powell fits into this group, and he has lots of company.

Great idea. Let's not give him his contsitutional rights. roll eyes.

Just be patient - the whole truth will eventually become known as it usually does in the never-ending high-profile cases with a Mormonish aspect.

What lynching?

There is NO lynching. There is only the typical lack of information speculation going on. This always happens. I don't believe I've ever seen a true lynching, only read about them.

People need entertainment.

This is an OPINION page

We're not lynching him here... Just expressing our "Opinions".

We ARE allowed to have opinions and express them you know. This isn't a legal proceeding. Just a place to share ideas and comments.

Press

"If it bleeds, it leads."

That's why this gets the press.

Lynching

He is running around free as a bird right now. Anyone who believes he is innocent probably believes the new healthcare bill will save money and that global warming is the end of the world. We don't have to suspend intelligence to allow for the "innocent until proven guilty" mantra.

Discussion NOT lynching

Discussing a case like this in an OPINION forum like this, is NOT the same as a "Lynching".

A Lynching is MUCH more violent and against the law.

This is just a discussion.

Thomas

Discussing something in a forum is exercising freedom of speech and right to an opinion. With all the publicity in this case it is difficult not to wonder exactly happened to Susan Powell. What is certain is Josh Powell is clearly not helping himself or anyone else by his behavior. He could be criminal, he could be a ditz, but the longer this drags on, it begins to smell worse and worse. Something is wrong and only Josh Powell can clear that up.

Davis

Better to discuss it on this part of the paper than the gossip they are printing on the front page.

Conservatives hate our constitution. The idea of the presumption of innocence, the right against self incrimination and the right of due process are as much part of our Constitution as the Second Amendment. I will let a jury decide.
