So I guess we're supposed to feel sorry for OPEC in that they're not raking in the trillions they did in 2008 when oil soared to $150 a barrel, and our president had to hold hands with the Royals and beg them to turn up the spigots for more of their precious oil. Bush assured them that we'd keep our tax-supported troops in the Mideast to protect their precious oil fields so that they could continue to sell us the stuff at a premium! Why has the U.S. military become the pet of oil-producing royals?
When will conservatives who talk about their love of the U.S. Constitution and their patriotism see that we've lost our freedom to these oil producing royals and dictators who manipulate oil production and prices? Yeah, Palin talks "burn, baby, burn" but we can't burn our way to oil independence! We don't have the domestic oil resources, and its price will always be influenced by the royals and dictators of OPEC.
I've yet to see one proposal from conservatives for seriously changing the status quo. The Free Market ain't working...
