RE-BUILDING YEAR?

if this year was a rebuilding year....what was 1980-2000?

No one ever begins the year....rebuilding for next year...unless you are a Yewt Fan who gets postered by Max Hall.....

danburtreynolds

Once again, the cougar fans display their preoccupation with the Utes by running their weak smack on Utah stories. Just exactly what is a Yewt? Oh yes, I know, it is a zoobie trying to be creative. That's right.

Not exactly sure how Max Hall is "postering" fans, unless he is taking more pictures like those cute ones with Austin and Dennis. But I can't see Max degrading himself to take pictures with a Ute fan.

Now, back to the team that matters, I look forward to the Utes against Cal. Cal scares me because they have looked good this season. Hopefully the Utes springboard from this Poinsettia Bowl the same way they did their last one. 2010 = 13-0 and BCS#3

God luck!

I would love to see the Utes beat Cal, right after the Cougars beat OSU. With Wyoming's win, we would be 3-0 before Christmas. Hopefully the MWC will soon be a BCS-AQ conference. As always, let the play on the field be the true measurement. This year BYU is 10-2 and Utah 9-3 and BYU beat Utah fair and square. Now it is time for the conference to prove it is worthy of NC consideration. If you ever want your utes to have a shot at NC, you need to hope BYU beats OSU. Sorry!

No Best

Go yewts, shouldn't be too tough with Best out. I really don't see how you could yewt spin this as a rebuilding year though. 1 DL, 3 starting LBs, 3 starting DBs, one of the best OLs in the nation, and a couple starting WRs are all graduating this year with no experienced backups to fill spots. Plus your precious Frosh QB was just exposed by Jordan Pendleton, hit him hard once and he'll be too scarred to leave to pocket or even stay in there long enough to hit an open receiver downfield, hopefully for all of us he'll bring his game back and put up a decent performance to help out the conference.

Re: danburtreynolds

This BYU fan will be cheering for the Utes. I can't stand them or their fans, but I recognize that Utah winning against a PAC-10 team will help the Mountain West Conference and, by extension, BYU.

I highly doubt many Ute fans would return the favor, though.

Oh, and the Utes won't be 13-0 next year, nor anywhere close to it. There are 7 defensive starters on this team who won't be there next year, while TCU is returning 8 starters on both sides of the ball.

If you get to the New Mexico bowl next year you should consider yourselves lucky.

I see little brother syndrome is back in full effect...

"I can't stand them or their fans..."

Max, is that you???

Re: Re: danburtreynolds

I'm sure you said the same thing the year after the Utes went to the fiesta bowl.
Congrats on making the vegas bowl again by default. Maybe you'll be on top of the conference again someday, but not when jealousy and hate is a higher priority than winning.
but keep trash talking on our articles.
Your prophet is a ute fan!

Used to root for BYU.

I used to root for BYU for the sake of the conference, but I can't bring myself to do it anymore. There is way too much self-righteousness blowing from down south.

Ernest T. Bass

The team feels ready?? Isn't that what they were saying just before the Oregon, TCU, and BYU games?

Ute4life

Look at all the haters commenting on the Ute article today. Go cheer for your water head QB as they lose another one in Vegas. You're just hating again because your team wishes it could put a bowl streak together. I got a quest for you — win a bowl game!!

re:danburtreynolds

Huh? Well, what is a zoobie exactly?
And Ute4life: Yeah and most teams given the chance to play chumps in their bowl games like the Pootes have would have a winning streak:
Pitt, Navy, Southern Miss, Fresno, Tulsa,
Give me a break Yewts.

re: God luck! 3:33am

"God luck"? I've never heard of that kind of luck before. I've heard of bad luck, no luck, dumb luck, and good luck but never "God luck". Is that maybe the best kind of luck there is, even way better than good luck?

Hey

did some pygmies shrink Zane Beadles' head? Check out the photo with this story. He's going to have to get his helmet refitted.

That's a nice pic of Beadles, Whittingham, and Asiata with the story. Thanks for that.

This just in

Whit will only dress 14 seniors for the bowl game.

The other 10 have learned to do it themselves!

re:re:danburtreynolds @2:52

a valid argument, however, zoobie is atleast based on an actual word.

You might want to watch your "8 bowl games in a row versus weak competition smack"

For instance, you left off USC and Alabama. Also, how did your team fare the last time they played Tulsa? Need I remind you of the woodshed beatings BYU took from the likes of Marshall, Tulane?
