Let's hope it's all true

BYU

BYU will lose big!!!

Doubtful

So if BYU is ranked higher in EVERY single poll then why is Oregon State favored to win?????

Anybody want to explain that to me?

Little Jimmy Brady

Personally I hope the Beavers take the Zoobs apart!

AZ

Oklahoma was to kill them too. Favored is based on what people will bet and odds. I am BYU true and Blue and will not say stupidly that they will win as to be honest any team I feel in the top 25 on a given day can beat the other. That is why they play 7 games in the NBA and Baseball. Just a bit hard in football to play 7 games for a playoff.
Utah did a great job on Alabama last year and they were the better team but I bet if they played 3 times Utah would not have beat them all 3 times. Also BYU Utah any year it could go either way. Same with Oklahoma. I bet OK would be a tad bit more ready the 2nd time.
So who will win well it will depend on how each team plays that day. Either one is capable to win. I am not naive enough to think BYU is going to win all games. But I hope they do. It is our turn.

lots of little brothers

as usual, our little brothers are more can concerned with BYU than they are their own team

wasn't Utah also playing a bowl this week?

Ute trolls certainly talk the talk, but will they walk the walk?

I'll let my support for BYU speak for itself. We'll be at the Las Vegas Bowl for the 5th straight year.

While most of these Ute trolls will be home watching the Poinsettia Bowl from the comfort of that couch in their parents basement that doubles as their bed.

Go COUGS!

go Utes

Doubtful,

The betting experts in Las Vegas (who set the line) have nothing to do with the rankings. The polls are determined by Coaches, Media and some Computers.

It doesn't mean a thing... But then, neither do the rankings.

It will be a difficult game. BYU needs the A Game.

happy to be blue

Go away yewties! Who cares what you all think? Worry about Cal and the bears.... The BYU/UTAH game is water under the bridge, George is STILL running, and that quarterback of yours has yet to live up to that last name of his......

GO COUGARS!!

I get a kick out of the Ute trolls who have nothing better to do than to worry about BYU this and BYU that. Most seem to be very insecure. Always bringing up the same old stuff. I wish they'd either get a life, a job, or move out of their parent's basement. There's more to life than always being negative and mad about something. Go WYO., BYU, UofU, Air Force and TCU.

Red Man

You are just scared of the REDness that will be all over you next year. Utes will win when it really counts!!

Red Man?

The BYU/Utah game counted you know.

re:Barkerb and doubtful

Being favored has to do with the Vegas bookmakers. The spread is for betting purpose.

The sportsbook charges a vigorish (vig) to handle the bet. Lets say you bet $110 to win $100, the $10 goes to the casino to handle the action. The loser loses all $110, even though they would have won only $100. So on a straight $110 to win $100, the sports book makes $20 vig from both sides when they pay out the $100.

So, the sportsbook puts out a line that they figure will get 50% of the bettors on BYU's side, and 50% betting for OSU. They want to have equal amounts of bets on both sides, and just collect the vig.

The sports Books perfect scenario is to have the exact same amount on both side of the bets. That is why you see the odds change at various casinos. Some might be heavier on OSU, and others heavier on BYU, so the spread will change to get more action on the uneven side.

The spread then is made by the betting public, based upon where they lay their bets. Experts set the initial line, bettors make it move.

re:Red Man

As a Native American, I find myself insulted by your derogatory slur. My skin is not red, but has a brown pigment.

You have permission to use the name Ute, but please do not use "Red Man" to describe your game or team.

Thank you,
Felix Yazzie

Dear Red Man

And this year didn't count? Wow! The players and coaches will disagree with you. I would not let them know your name or address or that you are a student at the U because life would be fairly miserable for you until you left the state.
