he'll have a U diploma.
If he had wanted a degree in Home Economics, he would have graduated from BYU
this article has nothing to do with the Y. Guy did well in school, is a solid ball player... give him his dues and move on. I'm a Y fan and I'm starting to think my fellow fans are becoming as preoccupied with Utah as they are with us. We won, there's nothing more to say. Good luck Beadles in whatever you do.
Just a wonderful article about one of the classiest guys on the Utah team...too bad Max Hall, aka Just too bad, had to spew his Y-ner comments on the page. I speak for all Ute fans when I say, Congratulations, Zane, was a wonderful career and best wishes for the future. We look forward to watching you on Sunday for a long time! With regard to diplomas, Zane will never have to worry that his diploma might be confused with his school's GED diploma like Max will. Go Utes, let's get another Bowl win.
Another great article about an excellent student athlete. It is neat to see the interaction between the kicker and the lineman. Two all americans excelling on and off the field. This is a great syngergistic example of two guys working hard at multiple things. As a fan of college football, guys like Beadles makes me feel good that I'm cheering on good people as well as good players. As a cougar fan, I am glad that Mr. Beadles is moving on in stead of moving the the cougar defensive line. Good luck in the NFL, engineering Mr. Beadles! You are a credit to yourself, your family and your university.
well good job zane! hope you have a great game in the poinseata bowl and a good career in the NFL
outstanding story. thanks.
Great Joab Zane! Way to make all of us former Utah players proud. I live by another former Ute and Hillcrest alum...Russ Dailey who played O-line with me in the good ol' days.
Go Utes.
...a BYU fan comments on a Utah article and tries to talk smack. Now remind me again, who's the little brother here?
And as long as we're on the subject, check out US News and World Report's rankings on colleges of engineering, tell me how Utah and BYU stack up, and then tell me how it's too bad that Beadles has an ME degree from the U.
Zane defines what collage football should be all about. Compete and have a education. I think throughout the country there has been a compete brake down and focus with what collages and universities are for the student athlete. The country needs more student athletes like Zane.
Zane you truly are the model for the rest to follow.
Way to go!!!
What a job well done Zane, finishing college in 4 1/2 years with an Engineering Degree, plus football that you did great at and worked hard but also had fun at.
As a student athletic you made the Univ. of Utah proud. You deserve the very best.
stop tackling after the play is dead. Personal fouls can cost you a rivalry game. But hey, Weddle did the same thing, and he is awesome in the NFL. Good luck Zane.
Ute fan
Was his best play the cheap shot he took on Bradley during the 26-23 punking that took place in LES?? He ran full speed AFTER the play and hits Bradley directly in the back. Flag thrown. Take Utes out of scoring position....yeah, I'd say that's typical Yewt all-american. And re: Mike Lewis, how did it feel for you and Russ to never beat the Y when you were there? Just curious.
With the byu coments here, I wonder. . . is it true you can get a high school degree from byu? I have been told that is so. Also, why doesn't byu have a phi beta kappa chapter? I have heard it is because of lack of academic freedom there.
Cheapest football player with a chip on his shoulder I saw all season. He got flagged for two personal fouls against BYU and it should have been three or four. After the game someone told me he had a great academic record I was very surprised; because anybody stupid enough to give the other team 30 yards for nothing doesn't come off as intelligent. Oh well, good luck in the NFL. I would like to see Mr. Beadles try to tackle a defensive player after the play in the NFL and see how that goes. If I can pick, I think he should try to cheap shot Ray Lewis, Terrell Suggs,or DeMarcus Ware and I'm betting he'll get more than a flag.
You will never meet a better students athelete than Zane, there are some just as good, but none better. He has made Hillcrest and Utah proud to call him there own. Best of luck in the future and look forward to watching you on Sundays!
I love whYners. Really, I do.
He's a Zaniac, Zaniac on the field.
Thanks to all of the well-wishing coug fans out there. It is good to reminded that there many classy fans out there. And thanks to Cheap Shot 9:23 for not being a Ute fan I would be embarrassed to ever wear the same color as a tool like you. Now go back to the couger board and congradulate yourself on a the great season BYU had in 1981.
The most memorable cheap shot took place right after the game ended when that BYU Meissman of Class Winner Max Hall took a blind side cheap shot at Stevenson Sylvester. Max did the couageous thing and waited until the Game was over. I heard that Max has already been signed to a post-college contract. He has moved to Pheonix where he will be selling time shares. That shows how much he loves Provo. And . . Max Hall's mouth is still open.
Go Beavers!
