That's gross. I live on the Navajo Reservation and that's just plain gross. Too bad Montezuma had to be on the news for this reason. . .

I'm from Montezuma Creek. It is sad but I am glad that something was done about it.

Innocent until proven guilty, that's all I'm gonna say about this. Hopefully, these allegations are not true as those mentioned are people I know. Anonymous

You never really know a person until something like this happens. For the harm & the damamges done they NEED to be punished, to the maxium. We dont allow things like in the Navajo Culture. They obviously are not in peace & harmony with themselves, like the rest of the Navajos. We lived quietly & in peace. We respect others.

Aneth Utah

This is crazy but at times it does happen. Not only to Natives but other ethnics and people. There may be other issues not presented here in the article but if there is then my best bet would be alcohol. Things do get a bit out of hand when there are alcohol and drugs involved. Hopefully all involve and those who are on the reservation will seriously think about this as a serious consequences. Just be bless that you did not get caught here.

NE Arizona

As it has been mentioned before..."these things do happen." This is just disheartening for the proud Din people.

Resident of Muzzi

We live in an area without law enforcement. Sometimes Shiprock does send an officer to patrol the roads for speeders and traffic issues. If other laws are broken then Blanding officers are called to remove the offender but charges are not always filed. We do not have anyone here in the community on a regular basis to protect individuals from being abused. Not all Navajos walk in peace and harmony. We have alcohol sold just across the wash. Alcohol contributes to the abuses and theft in the area. I feel we are in a no-mans land (Utah strip of Navajo reservation), protected by no one.

This is very sick story watch your kids we never knew we had people lke this. The 3 finally facing the real punishment. In town everyones know what they do and how they are . So watch out for one another. Maybe they need to pick up all the beer cans they threw along the road Aneth to Montezuma Creek and Red Mesa road It was a joke to them but now they are facing something thats real YEEYAAH!!!
