Alright!

I beleive the MWC is on its way to becoming part of the BCS. There has been a lot of talk on ESPN about the MWC being as good as the Big East and Big Ten and that the MWC does indeed to become the 7th automatic qualifying conference. This is great news, even though I would still rather have a playoff system. Good luck to BYU, Utah, and espectially TCU in their bowl games. Even though TCU got shafted by their bowl placement (unfortunately, they wont have the cahnce to beat a BCS team) it will still be great if they win a BCS game like Utah did. I bet TC could finish second or third depending on how they play. Things are on the up and up for the MWC!!!

Yeah!

I am excited to see good HS QB's still looking at BYU as a QB school. Regardless of Max Hall's ill timed "I hate UofU" comments, apparently Heaps sees the bigger picture that BYU is a great QB school.

What, no comments from Ute fans? Go Blue.

Andrew

Welcome welcome

burley

What, no press conference?

Another Great QB!

This is great! Now we just need BYU to start signing some solid defensive players to make our team complete.

Riley Nelson

will have alot to say wheather or not Jake is next years signal caller. Riley is talented and between the two of them going after only one starting position, it should be good competitive compitition. Good luck to both.

Y

The Y should win a NC or two in the next few years since this should help us recruit 4 and 5 star RBs and WRs also

What is there to comment about?

Yawn.
Kruger is already licking his chops.

CA fan

It will be exciting to see this guy develop. Good luck in the MWC.

Good Luck

I am sure this kid will be a good player but he has to tone down his grandiose pronouncements. By his own national championship talk he has set his own measuring stick and anything short of that is a failure. Learn from Max Hall's mistakes and do not have an inflated sense of self importance. aka No more pres conferances until after your first game as a starter.

Kidlooksgood

The kid looks good. Unfortuately, he'll be surrounded by a very slow bunch of old, slow, white kids and thus BYU will continue to struggle against the likes of very athletic Utah and TCU. I hope Heaps likes Las Vegas, because he'll be spending a lot of time there during the holidays. The "Quest for Perfections" continues! Ha. Ute fan ... owt.

good now the ewu will have to wait 4 more years to have a win in the state!!!

press confernce pppffffff.

So like Zoobies: They talk the talk before the walk the walk.

FYI: Rivals is reporting that Joshua Quezada & Ricky Heimuli ( 4 star) are close to signing with the Utes.

When it's all said and done the Utes will once again have the better recruitment class.

THEeyepatch

Anonymous... whats to comment on? The starting job is not his, so who cares? Let me know when he plays for a BCS Bowl game, then there might be something to comment on. Until then, enjoy the middle to bottom of the MWC standings.

NC

How many National Championships will Heaps win before turning pro?

Maybe Heaps signed because of what Hall said....

Go mighty Cougars.

UteFan

too bad he wont be half the quarterback that Wynn is. Utah will dominate next year while the cougs will be in the cellar with a freshman qb

Cougarf@n

There was a press conference actually. That's about the only negative thing Utes can say about Heaps at this point. He's a great recruit for BYU and, regardless of what he goes on to do on the field, he's brought a lot of great recruits along with him. Nobody can know how he'll pan out on the field in D-I, but every possible indicator imaginable suggests he'll be very successful at BYU. Without overstating it, this is certainly cause for celebration for cougar fans.

2010 Year of the True Freshman

Cougar fans need to prepare for some rebuilding next season. We have some excellent freshman and other young players who will likely have to step up but there will be some growing pains. If Unga and/or Reynolds jump early it will be a particularly tough season. I see 4 losses as a solid season actually. 2011 should be a return to a top 15 caliber team.
