A Christmas gift to see/listen to Mitt Romney?
A stocking full of coal would be preferable.
If Romney is waving his fee What are they spending all the money on to barely break even. Do not waste your money on this. I am a fan of Romney but this stinks.
"If Romney is waving his fee What are they spending all the money on to barely break even."
Event venue, advertisement, copy of the book comes with the ticket, insurance, administrative costs, security, ushers, event permits, lighting, sound, electricity, clean-up, etc...
Wish i lived nearby. If you go to this talk on March 13 and listen to the course Romney believes we should take, then 10 to 11 months later, Obama will "come to the same conclusions." Just like the auto bailouts, TARP, and now the Jobs package.
Find a cheaper venue. I have never heard of charging people extra to receive a pre-signed copy of a book. Who needs to pay all that money to hear what Romney has to say--we hear what he thinks for free on T.V.
The last time I checked politician's were excited to just get a crowd to show up. Authors seem to show up so people can get up close and personal and pay for a copy of the book with the bonus of their autograph. I am surprised that Utah--the only state that is really Romney obsessed is only having one book signing. I live in Arizona and know that if Romney were having a book signing with a price tag, it would be sparcely attended. Best of luck in getting a crowd.
Another book from a self-serving, know-nothing right wing politician? Will they never leave us alone?
He's not as pretty as Palin.
If you ever purchase or donate anything from a Romney organization, you will forever end up on a constant stream of donation solicitations for ever after! I speak from sad experience.
It seems like a great deal to me. The cost of the cheap ticket ($25) is less than the cost of the book and you get to hear a lecture and ask questions. Look at the prices of the other events available . . . .
It is refreshing to have a person with the experience and knowledge about how to address the issues we face in this country today. Mitt is the man.
To the naysayers on this board..I am sure all of you are highly successful in life and have had many great accomplishments such as Mitt. Probably you already have all the answers to our problems. So, let us ordinary people just enjoy an evening with Mitt that we might gain some light and knowledge.
Wish I lived in Utah and could take advantage of this offer. Romney for 2012. Save our nation. (to fair warning) If you donate to any politician you get on their mailing list.
Are they selling tomatoes and eggs outside, and most important, is there a chance he will speak at Costco?
In response to "Another book from a self-serving, know-nothing right wing politician? Will they never leave us alone?"
This must be coming from the jump to conclusions liberal left wing that believes that Obama is doing a good job and that global warming wasn't fabricated or embelished over the past few years. ha, ha, ha. Thank you for the laugh.
For those who are having troubles understanding the cost of the event. The $25 ticket includes a first edition, signed copy of Mitt's book that retails for $25.99. Which makes this event essentially free.
The tickets are only $25 - the book alone costs $25.99!
Sure, you can buy it on Amazon for $17, but for $8 more you get a signed copy of the book and to see Mitt in person - sounds like a fantastic deal!
fOR THOSE WHO CAN'T AFFORD TO PURCHASE A TICKET, BOOKS ON OVERSTOCK.COM ARE $8.95. tURN ON THE TV AND YOU CAN ALWAYS HEAR ABOUT MITT FROM MITT.
How would I go about getting 2 signed books for Christmas gifts as I live in Calif. and would not be able to attentd the book event in Salt Lake City Utah. Is there any way I could buy a gift card or the book before it comes out in March. Thank You Verla Swords
That's not correct - the book is $16.98 on overstock.
The reason the "Right Wingers" write books is because people like to hear what they have to say and they are willing to pay for it.... I have purchased and read Palin's book and I enjoyed it... Huckabee's books sell well down here in the south but aren't too interesting for the folks up north and probably sell up there as well as Liberal Politician's books sell down here....
I am a Texan, I am a fan of Romney's and will buy his book but probably won't attend any speeches... even if he gives one down here cuz I just don't have time.... BUT, having said that, the guy is by far the best suited to lead this country of any possible candidate out there(Reep, Dem or Tea Party)... He may not get the nomination and he may not win, even if he does.... But, I don't think that one could be objective and not say that he has the best skill set for what this country needs right now.
