It was hilarious

I thought it was hilarious. They obviously went to great lengths to avoid being offensive about specific beliefs-which they could have EASILY done.

Why should we care what Conan says ...

Have you seen his hair? That's what people should be laughing at.

Conan

I can't stand Conan, but that song is kinda funny, brought a smile just reading it!

Funny???

That was funny? I am not offended, but I also did not find it funny...

Pagan

I agree. This was playful humor.

If a mormon writes over the hanaka song, why get upset when a Jewish person writes about a Mormon?

Let the 'I am LDS, and I am a victim!' rants begin!

Dave

I wished I would've seen it live, that was pretty funny and a practicing member. Could do better on my home teaching, but i believe nonetheless and this here was funny.

Me

I saw it on Monday and loved it and thought it was hilarious.

Don't take it personal...

This isn't a jab, it's a funny skit. Nothing more.

Nothing else to see here folks, move along.

It was a great segment. Hilarious and entertaining. If anyone is offended then I ask them to get a sense of humor.

I'm not sure...

...that "mocked" is the way I'd term the spirit of this Conan bit. They weren't mocking Mormons as much as they were the whole oddity of a Mormon-authored Hanukkah song (not to mention their own admitted unfamiliarity with the faith).

Ha,ha,ha........

ho, ho, ho, I thought it was funny. I thought Hatch's song was kinda corny. It's all in good fun for the holiday season. Happy Holidays to all!

Offended?

Well Scott, was Hatch's song similarly rude and sarcastic? No.
Did it provide false information about a large religious group? No.
Was it's intent to belittle the Jews? No.
So if I'm gay, and you write a song like this am I taking myself too seriously?
I guess it depends on which side of the bullet your standing, whether you should take something seriously or not.
Fortunately, Conan's "minions" as you call them are fading fast and losing ratings weekly.
So I won't take such nonsense seriously any more than I take your column.

WOW!

That was hilarious! We need more good natured joking about religion like this, it will keep people laughing at themselves and less mean spirited.

mc

let the "I am pagan and a victim" rants begin.

Dust in the Wind

What does it matter the guy will be off the air within 18 months? His show is sinking faster than Obama's approval rating.

He is definitely not funny and oh so painful to watch. He makes me nervous.

Oh, yeah, great program, the best Ive seen in awhile. I have to hand to Conan, he's pretty darn cool.

Re: Offended?

Oh please. Cant you take a joke?

Jonny Utah

man does that mean we are going to have watch Conan on the CW30 along with Saturday Night Live now sorry KSL it was only a joke.

Not Mocking

I think Mocking is a bit strong. Conan was just having a little fun poking at the Mormons. Any publicity is good publicity...right?

Is Steve Martin a Mormon?

mark

Mormons here's a clue, don't try to out victim the Jewish tribe(s). They've had 4 thousand year head start on you.
