Ya Baby!! We rock!!

And before all the Lakers fans get on here and start putting thier two cents in - it is proven that without Kobe they can't hold up. I'd rather have a TEAM than a one-man show.

Congrats Deron AND Boozer!! Love both you guys! Matthews for Rookie of the year!!!

D Will is the bomb!! So glad we have him! And all this along with a spectacular outpouring of generosity from him to the military familes. Top notch in any book!!!

Sh@

I had a feeling he would get the honor this week. He deserves it and the Jazz are putting together a great season. Hope the road trip proves fruitful!

It was one of the best weeks DWIl has had since being drafted in all facets of the game. Keep it up our great friend, we need you to help stop those low drought moments on this road trip and get us through this with some wins!!!!

YEAHHHH

All Star?

Would love to see D-Will be an all-star this year. He deserves it.

dwill is tearing it up as of late. Chris who? keep it up. Admit it he could not have done it without my boy "Booz" keep it clasy Jazz fans...I'm outie

Road Woes

DWill's play may help fend off the road woes, but I would offer a different observation.

Sloan has only had 2 winning road records in 20 years. That is very strong evidence that the road woes are caused by some aspect of Sloan's approach to the game or biases.

I would suggest the following. On the road, the refs call the game different and the Jazz inside game and Sloan's system does not function as well as it does at home.

Sloan does not for the most part design 3 point plays. He lets the players run the offense and 3 pointers are usually out of desperation as the clock runs down or Okur makes a move.

The result is poor rebounding with rebounders out of position and a fast break that can't be stopped.

Even if the Jazz shoot 33% or higher (1 point per shot)they give up more than the tend to get. That is why Sloan does not use the 3 point shot more.

If the Jazz had more stucture to some of thier 3 point plays the rebounders would be in position and the wings would stop the break.

Road Woes2

Plainly the wings should shoot and make the 3s and the bigs should rebound (as a general rule). Using Okur to open up the middle for Boozer is effective part of the time but it is a lot more effective to have wings who can shoot and bigs who position and rebound.

Lately the Jazz have gotten good production from the wings and gotten back on defense better. Maybe the players have designed plays? Maybe Sloan has modified his system somewhat?

As long as the Jazz can force open the inside from the outside and they get decent rebounding they will win most games if DWill is running the offense well.

The poor Sloan road record has a lot to do with the efficency of the outside shooting (or lack) as that is the key to getting the inside game to run efficently on the road.

The other main problem on the road has been the defense. Sloan is not the best game management coach but I think the defense this year is improving at least part of the time. I respect his efforts to grade defense. He actually did something instead of just talking.

Sloan is adjusting. Keep winning.

Re: Road Woes

Please check your facts. The Jazz had a stretch of seven consecutive seasons with winning road records from 1994-95 to 2000-01.

I agree with you (as does Coach Sloan) that some of the road losses are on him. He needs to do a better job keeping his young team focused on the road. The use of timeouts to control momentum is key, but we all know that he's not really into that.

If the Jazz

have turned the corner which I believe but at the same time am still reluctant to FULLY believe they should go 4-1 on the road trip. The toughest game by far will be Orlando. But I am going to make a bold prediction. I think we are finally pulling this together and we go 5-0 on the road trip this year. Catapulting us into the legitimate contender converstaions. Realistically we should be 2nd best in the west. We are better than Denver they just have the flash that the media loves.

Everyone needs to go vote for D Will for the all star. Cant believe that the system allows T mac to maybe start. Vote For D WILL.

Miles

CJ would have won it,if only Sloan would give him the minutes he`s earned
