Time for a confession?

ANON

No good outcome ahead I am afraid.

This is not good. Powell hiring a "high profile" attorney is as good as admitting he did harm to this woman. I'm shocked the police have not charged him already. His story is so obviously phony. What guy takes his toddler boys camping in a bitter cold snow storm? Come on, it was a cover, we all know that. Shake him down before he hurts someone else.

Let's Go Camping

Who'da thunk it?

Lawyering up, this isn't going to end well.

Sleep in a tent

it is much colder to sleep in the van with the kids then in a tent. Unless he ran the van all night, in which case he may have not had fuel to get back home...sounds more and more fishy.

Camping?

They need to arrest him first for endangering his kids by leaving at midnight to go camping in the freezing cold. What kind of person would do that, really? I have a 5 and 2 year old, and snug them tight with two blankets every night IN OUR HOME.

Now there's a headline I didn't see coming. ;)

"He took his boys, ages 2 and 4, on a camping trip around midnight Dec. 6 in subfreezing temperatures."

This will not hold water for me.

Just tell us

where she is Josh.

Rachel

This doesn't look good.

I hear jail is a bad bad place. People either need to make it work or get a divorce. No sense in offing someone and leaving the kids with no one.

What is going on in that so many marriages in seemingly good shape are ending up like this? Specifically, marriages in the church where we are taught all the good things, etc. What are we not seeing and what can we do to correct it? Now there are two little children without a mother and parents without a daughter and a spouse who possibly has done something really horrible to the one he was supposed to spend eternity with? What is going on???

I am not very familiar with the law as pertaining to a police investigation of a missing person but is there ever a need to hire a lawyer IF you are convinced that you are innocent of any criminal offense related to the case?

Makes sense...

While I am not assigning guilt or innocence I find this move by Mr. Powell to be quite logical. He is obviously a "person of interest" and may become more if law enforcement officials bring charges. This move by Mr. Powell may seem evasive or leave the impression that he has something to hide, possible. Many individuals seek legal advice when something bad happens so this may be nothing. Time will tell but the need to protect ones self and family is a powerful thing. It may turn out that this man has done something terrible but only time and the process will tell. The media plays a vital role as well in these types of cases, do not speculate and do not make unfounded assumptions. While coverage of this event has been thoughtful and directed nothing good comes from a media circus. We as citizens must refrain from critical judgment because we were not there and we did not witness the event, all we can do is wait. Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law by a jury of peers, even if it is obvious.

Do I sense

an insanity defense in the works?

why?

It will come out eventually what happened. My question is why? What caused all this to happen? Why did it happen? I would like the person who did it to explain what caused this outcome? What led up to it?

(I'm not accusing anyone, but I must admit the facts that we hear from the press are odd and unusual. So far, the facts add up to one person in my mind.)

If I were the husband, I would also hire an attorney. He's going to need it.

LadyKim

he probably won't have to answer anymore questions now from the LE
