The NBA is as rigged as the WWE.
You know I didn't like Boozer's early opt-out announcement and I didn't
appreciate his last minute opt-in or trade attempts or summer comments....but
you know he has been playing harder than ever before and that creates a pretty
forgiving attitude on my part. Right now he is a total Jazz player, working
hard, leading with a good attitude, and having fun doing it. The past is
forgotten in my book. If he keeps playing like this, the Jazz would be crazy to
get rid of him. Boozer if you are reading this, forget Barkley; he obviously
doesn't have a clue!
Your facts are dyslexic. Try checking the stats on that. We'll wait...See, the Jazz win more WITH Boozer than without.
Carlos boozer is an elite power forward.
At this point, yes. Both are on the backside of brilliant careers.Booz played excellent D on Bynum tonight, after he was switched in the 2nd
half, btw. Shut him down. Also would've had a trip-dub if not for
late foul trouble. 7 dimes! He's emerging as a premiere passing big very
I can't believe the Deseret News would actually print ANY comments by big-mouth
Barkley. He may or may not be right but fact is that most Jazz fans love Boozer
and hopefully if he does leave he'll do it with some class and show some respect
for the fans that cheered for him for the past many years that he was here in
I would take re @ tex Boozer at age 28 over Duncan and Garnett both sloowing
down and each 33 years old
It is amazing how quickly people have forgotten how over the last 4 years the
fact that the Jazz have played better as a team when the rest of the team was
healthy except for Boozer. The only reason they would have been worse off
without him this year is because of a lack of healthy players, not because his
presence does anything to improve team chemistry. Team chemistry is as
important if not more important then one possible All-star
Number do not tell the whole story.Would you really want boozer over
a garnett or duncan?
Seems to me that the Jazz need to trade Boozer... perhaps even eat part of the
salary.. but not try to get value for value... If they were to get a non-scoring
defensive center who they could afford to keep next year, it would be great.
Then they would free up money to participate in the free agent market and get
someone really good in a position where they need help... ie. C, SG
"Doesn't play defense" eh? Huh?How come he's out-scoring,
out-rebounding, and out-stealing his counterpart then? Let's do a little
scouting...Best defenders at PF are Garnett & Duncan, right? We'll
throw in "defensive" Bosh since folks are convinced he's "lock-down."Defensive reboundsBoozer 8.9 Tops in NBABosh 8.3Duncan

what happened at LA ? MAN O MAN THAT WAS SAME OF THE BEST D THAT I HAVE EVER
SEE, INTILL THE 4TH. MEMO PLAYED REALLY GOOD SO DID BOZZER ! I HOPE THEY R -
SING HIM. WE CAN NOT STAY HEATHLY THAT'S ARE PROBLEM. WES PLAYS SAME OF THE
BEST D ! I LIKE HIM. WE NEED TOO HAVE SLONE PLAY AEW R MORE, IF THEY DONT GET

3 POINT SHOOTING AND D, SO KORVER GET BACK ON THE CORT MAN WE NEED YOU. JAZZ
STEP UP ON D AND WE WILL WIN TONGHIT ALL THE FANS THAT ARE AT THAT GAME TONIGHT
STAND UP GET LOUND FOR THE JAZZ. THANKS ADAM
Barkleys diet!!That dude talked more about creme cakes than he did
about basketball. There is a reason he was called "the round mound of
rebound".Now he is a fat carcass on a stool.Seriously
though I think he just kept rambling on the point about boozer and it got blown
out of proportion...although i do understand where he is coming from--there is
some validity to his point.
And Milsap has done what this year with all that $$$$$????
Barkley your awesome, but one problem Boozer has been on fire of late.
Wow suddenly so many Boozer backers? Fair weather fans huh. He never showed up
except stats. Personally he is just selfish bustard. Good playing stretch will
last as long as he wants but this time is different contract TIME.
I'm so tired of people talking about Boozer's D. It's Memo that has to go! We
need a TRUE center that guards the paint and is not afraid of contact! Boozer will be resigned. Mark my words. Then we trade several players and/or
draft pick, for a star SG or center. Believe it or not... This team is VERY
close to being a championship contender...
Boozer is not acting more positive to please the Fans, he is being to
him-himself enjoying life and his game..Does not matter. He plays
this way he can stay long as he likes to me. If the jazz had a very very good
year (like getting to the Western Finals) which would be the only thing that
tells me the Jazz played to the level of theyre talent losing then to LA, it is
What does Barkley know! Isn’t he the guy who lost hundreds of thousands of
dollars gambling? NBA players are never guaranteed to be playing together year
after year. The Jazz have the option of dealing him or keeping him. The other
player will adjust. The Jazz inconsistent play has been around for years. The
problem lies elsewhere.
And it should count for something that Boozer is a decent guy, clearly a good
person, a good team-mate, a great cheerleader when he's on the bench. He's
obviously a good dad and a person who has tried hard to make his marriage work.
And it has also impressed me that he always stays positive. Never seemed to get
too bothered by all the criticism, much of it very unfair Yes, he has talked
when he should have kept his mouth shut a few times, but never said anything
mean-spirited or harmful to anyone other than himself. If he should someday
become a TV commentator we can be sure his observations would be much wiser and
more useful than the kind of dumb flights of fancy we so often hear from Charles
Ideally-the players if I were the Jazz this offseason I would like to have
dumped (assuming they exit early in the playoffs because mostly of Sloan and the
"sloanaholics"), AK, Price and Okur-start there. If someone sees good value in
CJ and Koustos look into that. The Jazz could have survived with Boozer as
small PF with a true center which Fez could have backed upWhen we
did not get Okafor-we blew it. That is the one guy over anyone that could have
helped out. Gorcat would have been good, or getting long defensive guy like A
Pietrus or Bredrins. If the Jazz when had a chance could have
packaged CJ, AK, couple of others in any type of blockbuster for a combo of
Turiaf/Biedrins/Maggette and Jackson I think the Jazz would be a huge threat to
Denver and a #2 seed. Right now, Denver is clearly the best in the Northwest
No Houdini, you are not wrong. I agree. I am happy with Boozer. Personally, I
wish it would work out with hi,. I like Carlos I do. I wish all this garbage
could be forgotten. Okur did poorly in the first half but did ok because I
thought "Superman" (not) was a "non factor"Wicks: You praised SLoan
today. Yet you are against Kevin. Let me ask, are you blaming all this on "O
CONNOR"?If you are, there is merit and I will listen. I think it is
both, but would like a summary why you feel it is more O Connor"
Aren`t a whole lot of PF that are real good at both O and D,you rarely get one
like Duncan, who comes to mind,Malone was good, but Karl was more of a
slapper, which I`ve noticed Boozer is getting better at,neither Malone nor Boozer
are high jumpin shot blockers, careful what you wish for,Boozer haters
Don't get me started about fez. boozer is the key player for the jazz, when he
plays good, the jazz play good, the jazz need to make sure he gets at LEAST 20
points a night; one way to do that, is put fez in, booz pretty much gave him an
endorsement by what he said about howard, how much do you think fez could hlep
boozer not pick up fouls, and keep him in the game? the jazz need boozer in the
game, and they need to him to get at least 20 a night.it doesn't matter,
jerry won't play fez asnyways, the jazz will struggle and itwill be jers
fault, not mine; then someday, in a hopeless situaiton he'll play fez and then
jer will blame him for the loss, typical sloan.
so...the DesNews goes from ripping Boozer apart every chance they get to
defending him against the national media because he's playing well? Make up your
minds and stick to one script, please.
Without Boozer this team is 7 - 15.
comment, by Barkley, was more of a dig than his "brick wall" babbling @ boozer.
I watched the show; Barkley's comments were awkward/confusing and seemed to
mystify Ernie, Kenny & Chris. Barkley is an entertaining buffon - don't drink
the koolaid people. The jazz played three good quarters in L.A.,
swept San Antone, shifted into superhero gear to beat Orlando. Enjoy it while it
lasts. And hope current roster sticks together throughout the season. Change now
would be more disruptive/destructive than keeping the w.c. player of the week.
Okay, really?? You want to get rid of Boozer and start Fez??/ Really?? Have you
seen great things from Fez because I sure haven't? You think he will be the
caliber of player as Boozer? Get real!!! Sure, Boozer is playing for a
contract and probably not with the Jazz. SO! Let's ride him this year while he
is playing great! We need outside shooting as nobody on the team right now can
consistently hit a shot outside 10 feet!! We need to let AK go, Brewer has been
great but can't shoot, so package him up for someone who can stretch defenses
and shoot the dang ball!!!!
Barkley's info is stale...He is not the brightest bulb in the box....Boozer is the leader of the team...If Williams wants Boozer to stay, they two
could still be special....For the life of me, I do not know why they have not
been given a talented center. As I see it, they did figure something
out though with Okur, you draw the big guys out to guard him and then Boozer has
more room to work. This is their strategy...I think they saw how much Fesenko
could help, so I do not understand why he does not get to play against the
Not just Boozer folks . . .Sloan is the biggest problem for the Jazz. They've
needed a new coach for years now and just keep bringing him back . . .over, and
over, and over again. The definition of crazy is doing the same thing over and
over again and expecting a different result. Please Jerry . . .RETIRE already!
It is Boozer's life and body, If he wants to keep his body that way that is his
business , He does not need Charles Barkley telling him what to do , It s his
life, and he should be able to live it the way he wants, Enough Said Case
Closed, Boozer is a good player for the Jazz,
maybe I`ve been missing something, but other than the 4th quarter against
LA,both Memo and Boozer have been working harder on Defense, especially Carlos,am
Barkley was TWD (talking while drunk) looking to say something to garner
attention.Sloans system allows Boozers style of play to flourish
andmake him one of the elite PF's in the game. That will not happen eveywhere.
Did you see Malone in the allstar game without Stockton, he stood around and got
4 points with nobody to feed him.No doubt the Jazz are in a very
tough position, as we don't want to lose Boozer or trade for a lessor player.
The Jazz left on the roster would not be satisfied. Boozer knows the Jazz
system and is best suited to that style of play.Jazz will gain
financially from Harprings leaving, trade Korver, Price and AK and get a player
of enough stature to make Boozer and Williams want to stay. Hey Kobe and Lebron
what you guys doing next year? After that the pool of available
good players get shallow in a hurry. Bosh will not come to Utah, nor others of
his caliber. Without re-signing Boozer the Jazz outlook is bleak. One idea might be if Cleveland does not win the title they will be dumping
Shaq for somebody like Ronnie Price.
I'm sick and tired of hearing that Booz tanks it, or just doesn't care enough to
play hard. Everyone who says that is completely out of touch with reality.
Booz has ALWAYS played hard on the floor. The reason he doesn't play Tough D is
because he's a finesse player in a Bruisers body. Everyone thinks he's a power
player, but he's never been that. He just looks the part and dunks big every
now and again. I can gaurantee you the coaching staff and management are not
worried about him tanking it. They challenged him to play better D this year,
and he's trying. For all you cynics out there, maybe that is the reason he is
playing better D (not just because he's in a Contract year). The fact
that Booz is a finesse player may still mean we should trade him, but it won't
be because he doesn't play hard. It will be because we need a true POWER
forward. I'm in favor of anything that will help the team, but stop cutting off
your nose to spite your face guys. Stop following the crowd.
fun and gun teams the Jazz need more speed. Or they need one player like Brooks
who can attack and shoot from the outside to go after LA. They need to get back
much faster on fun and gun teams. Sloan should be able to attack LA
the way HOU does. He has slashers. However he is lacking the Lawson/Brooks type
player who is needed to cut the heart out of LA. HOU rebounds well
(with a small line up) and shoots very well from the outside. Note those
differences with Utah. Utah does not shoot well from the outside.
They can't open it up against LA so they can slash or even run their inside
game. Sloan is fully capable of beating LA with a variation of
Alderman's approach. However, he can't do it without much more outside shooting.
The Jazz improvise most outside shooting. That does not help the
rebounding. Sloan needs to get a Brooks/Lawson (replace Price) but
most of all he needs a dozen (plus variations) outside shooting plays just for
LA. The Jazz can beat LA if Sloan adjusts enough. Utah needs MORE
potent outside shooting.
There are so many idiots in this state who are almost PRAYING for Carlos to fail
so that their summer long rants about him won't be exposed for what they really
were-namely: whining and pouting by immature fans because a player got injured
and wouldn't get better as quickly as they would have liked. So now he's
better and time after time, he delivers. He is the unquestioned best player on
the team at this moment and still there are many who honestly believe that if
you shipped him off and "PUT FEZ IN THERE" things would run a lot more smoothly
and Fez would lead us to the NBA Championship. (Deep breath) I know Utah has the
loudest fans, but to call them the BEST FANS is really a stretch with boneheads
like these around.
At first there were some chemistry problems. At this point most of those are
gone as far as the flow of the game. As long as Boozer rebounds,
hits a high percentage, does not turn the ball over and plays some defense he
helps the team. Boozer and DWill determine if he gets the ball. He has to get
open and DWill has to decide to run the right plays. As long as the
Jazz can not get the RIGHT trade back they are better to rent Boozer. If he
walks they will be able to take his salary and buy a very good player in a down
market. The right PF is longer, plays defense and still rebounds and
scores like Booz. That is a tall order. It is best for the Jazz to
have quality depth than 3 over paid "super stars" who are going to get injured.
The key is plan B. Outside shooting when other teams force the Jazz outside.
If Sloan fixes that one problem and if the intensity/defense are
good the Jeckle/Hyde will disappear to some extent. The Jazz are
still to slow. Getting role players can fix that.
Booz stays. The Jazz are a status quo team, not a shake-it-up team. If
there's any reason to keep Booz they will. And I hope they do. He's giving
them plenty of reasons to do that. His Defense will be a non-issue if we get a
reliable 7 footer that can play Defense. WE NEED FEZ!! REMINDER: It's not like we need Fez to be an All-Star. All we need is for him
to somehow aspire to the lofty heights of Osterspaz in his prime. Is that too
high of a bar to set for the big fella??? I think not. Amazingly, we went to
the Finals twice with Big O. And Fez has way more upside. All he needs is 20
mins a night. Besides his defense, the upside is that he will without question
score way more on accident than Ostertag ever did on purpose. Also, Big O had to
have been a lot more annoying to Sloan than Big Fez...so cmon Jerry play the kid
and let him make some mistakes. He's our great white hope, the missing link.
For the record, I'm not a Jerry hater.
c33 you're missing one big key- Ball is played on both ends of the court. Boozer
has no clue how to defend. I'll give you the offensive side but there are 30
other pf's that can play offense. Defense wins games! I hate la but they defend
and they help their team defend. Everyone is on Jerry about bad coaching but no
one wants to defend. watched the tnt broadcast and orlando was scoring at will.
They lost becase they got disinterested because the jazz are such a non factor
right now. Why play boozer at all if you're not going to get anything for him
next season. They playing him for a trade. If he's not traded before the
deadline, his playing time will drop. everyone in the country knows he's not
coming back. 1,2,3 is fine if healthy. 4,5 needs serious work defensively. move
your feet memo and carlos just go away. he doesn't deserve the honors he's
getting except that no one gets that this game has to be played on both ends of
Can't we get Okafor or Bosh or Deng at Chicago for Booz? I guess the Jazz are so
set on having their power forward being the high scorer on the team, I say we
would be better off with Okur as PF, Milsap at SF and Fes at Center. If we got
Okafur, he would be a great center in the Jazz system. Deng with his 18 ppg and
Milsaps greater output with more touches would help offset Boozers 20 ppg, plus
both players are better defenders. With Bosh we could still get 20 ppg but with
a better defender as well.
Barkley is out of his mind....Not one player has even whispered of any problem.
Barkley has as much credibility as a man arrested for DWI, driving too fast so
he can pick up his prostitute...What a loser. Sorry.Boozer is a
great player and this year, he is the leader...If Williams is happy with Boozer,
they have a nice combination going...Who could we get that would play as
well as Boozer, no one.
Booz made it clear that it is all about the money. He is playing well because
his mouth made his stock go sown. He has to play well as a free agent and the
Jazz would like to get as much out of him in a trade. My opinion but it isn't
If Boozer's departure is inevitable.... that's life! The Jazz can just
start Millsap or AK at the PF spot. Or they could even start Fes and put Memo
in at the PF position. The Jazz have guys playing well at the 2 & 3 spots
with Brewer, Matthews, and CJ. Then AK can be down low more blocking shots
rather than chasing guys around the 3 point line.I don't want Boozer to
leave, but he's going to. I think the Jazz would be able to survive. They'll
just have to figure out something other than DWill to Boozer pick and roll in
the end of close games!
we all knew boz was going to play his butt off for a new contract. also know
williams and millie was doing nothing untill orlando game. wasent getting the
ball to boz untill williams was out a couple of games and manyard was in and got
the ball to boz. then sloan a boz lover kept putting the rookie in plays more
than williams did as a rookie why because he gets the ball to boz. millie not
doing much of nothing. couple of games he lit it up the rest just going tru the
motions. looks like boz playing for a big contract williams and sap dont want to
help him get it.
Its a business. Everyone will tell you that. As a season ticket holder all I
ask is that he earn his money while he's here. I think he's doing that. What he
does next year is none of my concern. I feel we can build a championship team
with or without him. If it works for him to be here, I think the fans will
welcome him. If we were worried about players complaining about their contract
Karl Malone would have been hounded out of town many times.
Hey Utah Fan, you're right about worrying whether D-Will sticks around after his
short-term contract hits the wall. Losing Boozer and not picking up a comparable
replacement would cause him to jump ship.D-Will's not dumb, and he
has the inner fire that all winners have that win championships. He reminds me a
lot of the kind of players that Boston and LA had back in the day. I loved
watching those two teams during the Bird and Magic era.Depending on
how the Jazz do this year in the playoffs, even Boozer might stick around next
year. He has that same desire to win it all, and so far hasn't felt the Jazz can
do it (like many Jazz fans also think). But, with success comes happiness, and
people don't easily throw away happiness.
Hey, Big Frank, Fezsenko and Koufos are not developing because they have nothing
to develop--no inherent "great" talent. They'll stay in the NBA because of their
size, but will never be perennial starters.Still, I like both of
them and hope that the Jazz can keep them around a long time, because "decent"
bigs are quite useful off the bench. You're right that without Boozer
this year, we'd have a tough time winning. No telling what will happen next year
without him, even if the Jazz get lucky in the lottery with New York's pick.
Drafted PFs, even if among the top five picks, won't equal Boozer's contribution
until they've had a few seasons under their belts. With the addition
of Matthews, and it seems CJ is finally looking like he can shoot 3s
consistently enough, and when Korver gets back, the Jazz game plan will finally
pay off with more wins than last year. It's based on paint scoring with enough
3-point threat to take the double-teaming off of the paint players. A pretty
effective strategy that all of the tops teams employ.
Boozer's best friend in the NBA was D Wade.
Booze is playing his butt off for a contract plain and simple. I would guess
that people in the know and Charles being an ex-NBA baller knows, word is out
there on this one with those that have that info. Remember Charles is super
close to Wade, and I'll bet Dwayne Wade knows more about the situation than
commentors on this web. It's plain and simple--Boozer is playing for a contract.
He really doesn't want to be here, but he won't say that until he is gone, this
is about financial security for him fans, and the only way he is going to get
what he wants is to conform and play like crazy. I would trade him at the trade
deadline trying to get some return because at the end of the year he will walk
for nothing. And don't believe that he will agree to a sign and trade at seasons
end because he won't!
Admit it, all you Boozer blastin' tools: The day Boozer walks from the Jazz
you all will have your heads buried in your pillows each night and sob
yourselves to sleep. As far as Barkely is concerned, this
man makes up it girth what he lacks in brains. Have you ever heard him say a
thoughtful, intelligent thing in his life. He's like the dork you let hang
around because he makes the rest of you look so good.
Carlos has hot spurts this year just because it's a contract year for him. The
better he can look to others this year, the more his contract will be next year.
If we could have consistency and defense from him, I'd sing a different tune.
I completely agree with Waldo.
I think the bigger problem the Jazz have is keeping D Williams. He opt for a
shorter term contract to see what the Jazz would do in the future to become a
contender. He is the guy they can't afford to lose. The jazz need to build
around Williams and show him they are committed to keep him. He's the franchise.
Since Stockton & Malone I can't believe the players we have prone to injury. Not
sure they have what it takes to play through injuries. Super stars seem to play
through them, like Bryant,James,Nash,Duncan. Funny I can't name more because I
don't think we have as many as there were in the past.
Barkley should just shut up!
Let's be honest here. Boozer is now performing like he should have last year
only to improve his marketability. Teams won't look at taking him unless he
produces. Once he is scooped up, he will go back to being the antics that he
has shown while at the Jazz. Just skating by getting a paycheck. A HUGE
paycheck! He doesn't have the work ethic of a Karl or Stockton. It's a shame it
what it is
The way Boozer is playing right now I have to disagree with Chuck. This team is not going through the motions. Sure they are still young and
immature at times but realistically they are decent now most nights.Seriously though, if we could SOLIDIFY perimeter shooting from the trio of
Korver, Miles, and now Mattews?Okur needs to go bye bye.Centers have to be able to defend the rim.Every time Okur actually
makes a defensive play (maybe once or twice a game) the ESA erupts because it is
such an anomaly. That my brothers and sisters is the problem.Defend or go home!!!
The guy's apparently playing his heart out.
Fire Kevin O'Connor! He is the problem. Can't spot talent, can't draft worth a
hill of beans, and can't make the team better. He doesn't even try to make the
team better from one year to the next. Please Miller family, FIRE KOC!!!!
Sorry, Charlie. You're wrong on this one.Without Boozer, who has
closed out numerous close games for Utah this season, the Jazz would be well
under .500 at this point. Carlos doesn't panic in close-game situations, instead
thriving.Among qualified PF's Boozer is;3rd in scoring3rd in rebounding3rd in assists4th in FG% (largely on that 17-foot
jumper, unlike guys like Amar'e and Bosh that depend on playing close to the rim
a lot more)4th in overall efficiencyWhen pts/rebs/asts are
combined, the list reads Dirk, Bosh, Boozer. There are you 3 best PF's in the
NBA this season. But remember, Toronto's D is horrendous. I know many
would like to think Bosh plays defense, but he doesn't really.Sure
Bosh gets 1.1 blocks per game, but he only gets .50 steals per game. Boozer may
only get .50 blks/game, but he leads Bosh in steals at 1.2 and D-rebs. And the
Jazz, while no defensive standout, are way ahead of the likes of Toronto,
there.Boozer should be an All-Star again this year, Chuck.
I can't believe all you insomniacs up in the middle of the night on the message
board. My take on Carlos Boozer is much like everyone else's. I think Boozer
will find the market out there much less that he is hoping for due to the
economic downturn. The money out there is big but not what he will expect. He
has garnered a 'soft defense' name for himself and somewhat of an arrogant
attitude in the locker room. The Jazz are in a tough spot because there are no
players on the roster to replace Boozer. The younger big players Fezsenko and
Koufos are not developing. The loss of Boozer, who is apparently healthy again
would severely damage the Jazz as a middle of the road darkhorse contender.
Right now the Jazz cannot attract a player to replace Boozer. No way will
topflight players come to Utah and fit in Jerry Sloan's scheme to make them a
legitimate championship team. The Jazz need Korver to have another 3 point
threat. As a team they are just too soft against athletic teams on defense. So
I think realistically they will make a run at signing Boozer.
and why is boozer playing like an allstar? He found out that nobody else wants
him when he was looking so dumb. the better he plays the more attention he gets
when the dealing is done.. If and when he does leave , what does williams do?
Boozer is HIS guy. Will williams react the same way?? Me thinks the Jazz board
of directors is caught between a rock and a HARD PLACE. GOOD LUCK.
Boozer seems to play better at home. He likes to be liked and when he is in
front of the home fans he plays his butt off. When he is on the road he doesn't
play as well because he doesn't hear it from the fans. He does NOT like being
booed. Injuries pop up when he has to go back to Clevland becuase he knows he
stuck to them. He is a fair weather player.
Any NBA team who would have to face losing a player the caliber of Boozer should
be heartbroken. But I agree with Barkley- his departure is indeed chisled in
stone. Now that he's playing some of his best ball why not try to get something
in return before the inevitable happens?
Expressing a sentiment that "anyone would" like to play with Dwight Howard is
just that. Simply a sentiment. You want to talk about toxic
contracts, just take a peek at Rashard Lewis' salary. Orlando couldn't afford
another PF if they wanted one. Jody's just stirrin' the pot.
"You got that big fella down there on defense because he covers up a lot of
mistakes for you when he's as active as he is,"If he's referring to
the mistake of him playing any kind of defense he's right that's a big mistake.
I want Boozer gone. He is the Max Hall of the Jazz. And no the
asterisks in the title are not swearing.... just trying to figure out why La has
so many of them after their name. The Lakers are super cool ????
Barkely could be right, look at cleaveland this year, everyone thinks lebron
might leave, so maybe chuck would say thats a problem in cleaveland; or maybe
chunk wouldn't that cleaveland stinks because they have shaq? the jazz
need to get some help in the paint, or toast.
Teh sad part is, is he is like a Derrick Coleman. Has the talent, but never
maximized it. It is people like a Karl Malone, that are not as talented, who
work their tail off, that become hall of famers, while others just go through
the motions. It is that, because they are so talented, that they give us
glimpses, just enough to keep us interested, but when chips are down, they
disapear. Unfortunately, you can't trade him. We don't have the time to go
through an adjustment period that can cost the team wins. We have to take this
ride to the end, hopefully the playoffs, then say goodbye.
FIRST TIME I EVER AGREED WITH ANY THING THAT BARKLEY HAD TO SAY!!!
Boozer needs to be resigned by the Jazz. Dump AK and Korver and free up the
money to do it. If we had a GM it would have been done by now. Wake up Greg. KOC
is a burden to the Jazz.
The Jazz must of been looking to the summer of 2010 for the past few years since
we've never really been consistent. Boozer struggled early in the year,
but I agree with Collins that is had to do with conditioning and lack of outside
shooters. When a team can triple team the paint it makes it hard for anyone to
work.I can't think of any PF who I would trade for that we could
actually get. There are a lot of players I would love to see in a Jazz uniform,
but there is no way that their team will give them up (I'm thinking Bosh
specifically). Players that we could actually get wouldn't be an improvement. And please, don't tell me that Milsap can carry the load. He is a
terrific backup PF, but can't be a go to player over the course of an entire
season. The best teams in the league are long (LA, Boston, Dallas, Denver) and
Milsap's size will get exploited. We need Boozer and he's performing
like an all-star. Without him we'd be 7-15.
He won't possibly be gone before the trade deadline...he wasn't traded this past
off season, why would anyone trade for him now as his contract expires?
And let me get this straight, We actually give a rip about what Barkley says
about anything? Barkley just says stupid things just for the WOW factor, I
really like the guy but I would hardly worry about what he has to say.
Doesn't matter. My LAKERS are going to win it all anyway.
Boozer coming through on a few occasions does not make up for all the time he
spent injured or didn't deliver.Jazz need to trade him asap while he
is playing the way he is so they can get someone who might actually stick around
and who will contribute to the overall team chemistry.
Who do you imagine in your fantasy Jazz viewing that is going to be more
reliable in the clutch than Boozer in the low block? Remember Game 7 at Houston
when the Jazz won in the playoffs? Remember who delivered? Take a guess or go
look it up.
Boozer will be gone before the season ends, after all he continues to disappear
during the playoffs. He might find out when he goes free agent he is not worth
Jeckle and Hyde has very little to do with Boozer. It has a lot to do with a
lack of outside shooting to stop teams from packing the paint. It has something
to do with a short bench that plays too many minutes and gets worn down and
tired. And a short bench that lacks role players who could come in and win match
ups. It has a lot to do the the Sloan biases that have been there
for years and are embedded team weaknesses.Sometimes Sloan gets out
coached. He fails to adjust or is to slow to adjust. Sometimes he does not
prepare to win. He just trots his same old system out there knowing it is not
going to work and pretends that it will.Mostly it is other teams
exploiting Sloan biases and Jazz weaknesses. LA just went to a match up zone and
the Jazz were helpless. Sloan had better develop a way to break that zone. He is
supposed to be HOF. He has had a week to prepare for the zone. A
good coach finds a way to win when the other team makes adjustments. Sloan does
I think that's just plain "TORRIBLE"!
Boozer is bad medicine for the Jazz. He refuses to take hits and defend,
therefore, he allows as many points as he accumulates in many games. He is a
pain to watch. Williams can carry the load, and, get or use a decent center. Let
Fez play. Discard Boozer, the sooner the better.
I would like to see Boozer back but Memo we Love you but you need to go. We
need a center than can play ANY defense. Although we would miss your three
point shooting you are a one trick pony.
What is this news story talking about?.... You all know the Jazz are going to
re-sign Boozer just like they did Sloan!!!
