Radical Islam is terrifying. But, I fear that we may paint all Muslims with the same brush. I had a roommate in college who was a Muslim and was friends with a number of his friends. I have known several other Muslims. I never knew one I didn't like; who I wouldn't like having as a neighbor. There are also Christians who do crazy things.

extreme

The thing that scares me most is this extreme administration and their marxist plans for our country and families. How much can we take? How much can we afford. from each according to his ability - is not just a slogan anymore.

Domestic extremism isn't limited to Muslims.

Planet Earth is an alarming place ... the way the Powers That Be like it. Accept reality all ye little ones!

The unprecedented number of death threats against President Obama (he gets over 30 daily by the way), a rise in racist hate groups, and a new wave of antigovernment fervor threaten to overwhelm the US Secret Service, according to government officials and reports, raising new questions about the 144 year old agency's overall mission.

The Secret Service is tracking a far broader range of possible threats to the nation’s leaders, the officials said, even as it also investigates financial crimes such as counterfeiting as part of its original mandate.

The new demands are leading some officials, both inside and outside the agency, to raise the possibility of the service curtailing or dropping its role in fighting financial crime to focus more on protecting leaders and their families from assassination attempts and thwarting terrorist plots aimed at high-profile events.

NO ONE in America likes a dictator also, they want a true American President. That knows what he's doing, and not some constitutionlist lawyer that wants to distroy our first constitution, and replace it with his own private one. With the help of the Demo's in Congress, moderate gop and RINO's there to.

We tend to adjust our attitudes in light of what we see and hear going on around us. If you personally lean right and you see people leaning further left... you will tend to lean even FURTHER right to adjust. The other side does the same thing. So you end up with more and more people getting WAY out there on the fringe (like Ultra Bob, Ernest T Bass, Red, RedShirt, etc).

This is natural human behavior. It's not just in the Islamic community. We ALL need to be cautious about becoming radicalised by our political or religious rhetoric.

I am so happy to know this

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrate, that way it'll open up more high paying jobs in a Forensics Career.

@extreme

"The thing that scares me most is this extreme administration and their marxist plans for our country..."

Exactly which Marxist plans are being made by the administration. Everything they've done has been to either save or encourage private businesses. Don't throw the General Motors or any other bailout in as an example of Marxist behavior. They are exactly 180 degrees away from Marxism. Why? Because they saved these big businesses from their own ruin.

zebedie

You can't use the words terrorizm or terrorist attacks!! Shame on you! You are going to offend a certain segment of our society!! Didn't you get the memo from Barry!!

Jess, "there are also Christians who do crazy things"?
Please cite the incidents where Christians flew planes into buildings in the name of Christ.
No?
How about Christians strapping on suicide belts and murdering people in a grocery store (a.k.a. market) in the name of Christ?
No?
OK, when was the last time a Christian murdered and wounded dozens of people wile shouting "Christ is God"?
Still No?
When did Christians last take over an elementary school, wire it with explosives, and murder over 300 school children in the name of Christ?

And don't go all Middle Ages on us. Try to use examples from within your lifetime. And try not to turn this into a commentary on national health care, energy policy, or any other off-topic distraction. Christians murdering innocents in the name of Christ. We're waiting........
We're waiting.

'NO ONE in America likes a dictator also, they want a true American President.' - 8:28 a.m.

Chuck, guess what? We have one. If you choose not to see that then you have the problem. Not him.

He was elected president and has actually met with Muslim leaders and extended a message of peace to them.

Keep in mind, our previous president was the 'decider.'

If I had to choose again, as we all did last election, I would choose Obama, again.

Why?

Because since his 1st year of presidency Obama has not invaded any other country to date.

When Bush became president in Nov 7, 2000 America lost the twin towers on Sep 11, 2001 due to a terroist attack.

The spike in extremisim in the general americans is increasing, however the previous spike of extremisim in our goverment administration is in decline.

It looks like the group advocating culture wars in America are getting closer to getting their way.

20/20 | 10:35 a.m I will risk being censored answering. At Mountain Meadows on the call "Do your duty" over 120 people were murdered.

Then, we have Jone Town.

There was Salem.

If you read your history you would know that once Christians in America believed riding the Americas of Native Americans was Christianizing America by casting off godless souls.

Profiling

...saves lives.

@: Profiling

Profiling can also destroy lives... When (more often than not) the profiler is wrong.

Beware....

20/20 @ Anon 11:07

You were alive for Mountain Meadows? Congratulations. Salem? Jonestown?

Not one example of Christians murdering innocents while shouting "Christ is Lord".

Still waiting for relevant examples in our lifetimes.

I don't understand the compulsion to defend Islamic extremist murderers, but it's a free country. Just don't try to justify these terror murders by pretending that Christians engage in terror murders in the name of Christ.

Behind the behaviors or both Christians and Muslims are their own scriptures; Christ does not tell his followers to kill fellow human beings in order to qualify for heaven - But Mohammed does.

I wanna know!

Why doesn't the God of the Muslims simply smite the people He doesn't like (like the God of the Old Testament used to do)? Why does He need humanoid flunkey's to do His dirty work?

@ "Beware.... | 11:34 a.m."

Beware.... | 11:34 a.m.

You conveniently left out

Ultra-liberals
Leftists
Marxists
Anarchists

Both sides have their radicals.

@ "Beware.... | 11:34 a.m. "

Beware.... | 11:34 a.m.

Not ALL radicals are right-wing-nuts or religious wakos.

Don't forget the Weather Underground. Read about them if you've never heard of them (Wikipedia).

Keep in mind... the people who created and lead this group in the 60's are now in leadership positions in the Obama Administration. Do some research if you don't believe me.

@20/20

How easily you forget - Serbian genocide against Bosnia. Serbs = Christians, Bosnians = Muslims. Over 100,000 Bosnians were killed at then hands of Christian Serb fighters in order to accomplish "ethnic cleansing."

I am in no way defending Muslims extemists or anyone else, just stating a simple fact. Murder is wrong, no matter who commits the crime. People do horrendous things in the name of God all the time, and yes, I was alive during the Jonestown incident and if you are over 31, you were alive too. 918 Christian people died in the name of God that day.
