Increasingly politicians are earning the same stigma usually reserved for the likes of lawyers. Frequently legislators are lawyers and they both are involved in "legality". One passes bills into law; the other makes a living from the law. It's an "interesting" relationship shall we say?
I think it is becoming more and more apparent that legislators like to feather their own nests, whether as legislators, lawyers, education administrators, insurance people, and whatever else they are, and that they have little regard for the wishes and concerns of the people at large, and more for their own professions, and the wishes of the special interest groups who wine and dine them, and give them tickets to basketball games etc.
It is time for a real REFORM LEGISLATURE that will tackle such abominable traditions along with other long-standing grievances of The People.
Large contributions only increase the cost of running a campaign. Wake up and smell the roses Herbert
We have the best governing money can buy--for the campaign donors--NOT THE PEOPLE. Wake up public! Check out the Lt. Governor's web site which lists the donors for each Utah elected official.
