Lehi will give them a loss on friday
No way, Lone Peak is by Far the best team in the state
Wow. What a bold prediction. It would be the first win for Lehi in what, 5-6 years? You go out on a limb when LP starts one senior?! That's funny.
The best team in the whole state is the jazz or the bryce valley bucks. So lone peak boys can shove it
Lone Peak has a chance to be good but not great this year. Saying they are the best team in the state shows you don't know about basketball. They are maybe one of the ten best. They aren't better than Brighton, Bingham, Provo, Copper Hills,Alta, Davis, Lehi, American Fork, Pleasant Grove, Davis, or Olympus. That being said I wouldn't want to play them in late Febuary. Quincy Lewis is one of the best coaches in the state. Nick Emery has a chance to be the best player in Lone Peak history.
Interested to see how Emery will do against Hesleph from Juan Diego. Emery is undeniably a great scorer, although Hesleph's speed and lock down defense could cause problems for the young guard.
Nick Emery is the best player ever bar none
So...Davis is good enough to be in there twice, but no LP? LP beat both Provo and Lehi in the summer, and tonight they will beat Lehi again. You're not much of a guru if you really think that Copper Hills, Davis, PG and AF are better, but thanks anyway for your input.
Why does it even matter if they only start one senior?? That was the stupidest comment i have heard in a while but good try..... I guess you can talk when you win tonight
Aren't Tannon Pederson and Matthew Childs both seniors? I might be wrong, but I think both start for Lone Peak??
The person posting that must've just seen the Viewmont game when Tannon didn't start. Christian (Matthew?) Childs does start, and Tannon is a regular starter, just didn't start the last game.
Starting one senior (actually two) means that LP is rebuilding a little bit, so there is a chance that Lehi's senior-laden team might be able to finally get one from Lone Peak. You do realize that Lone Peak beat Lehi, with everyone there, by double digits at Mtn View in May, right?
Wish I could have seen the game. Sounds like a good one.
Anyone with details? The game summary said Emery had 26 and hit the game winner.
Even if teams try to stop him that will make him work harder and step up his game. That will be Nick's challenge. He will have to cope with teams trying to shut him down. This is what Nick needs to progress. I will love to see the growth. He is further ahead of Haws when Haws was a Freshman. Both are incredible. Not just in athletics but in life. Nick is kind to all kids. I have examples of his big heart to those less fortunate. Haws is the same way.
Done with my ramblings. (from a grateful parent)
Hey buddy, you comin to the boards tonight? It sure would be nice to see what you have to say.
You want to talk summer ball? How did LP do in the 3rd place game in the Provo tournament (1st place game was Provo and Timpview) against Wasatch? Emery was playing wasn't he? How did Lone Peak do in the BYU team camp championship game against Bishop Gorman (the team Wasatch led by 9 and barely lost to by one possession in the final minute in the semi final) in the BYU team camp? Emery was playing wasn't he?
